At the beach near me the tide was out and I was walking among the rockpools looking to find some big crabs or some trapped fish, I was bare feet when I by accident stood on a jellyfish, I was lucky I didn't get stung by it, it was probably the same size as the one you have there RC.
It was stuck on/in a tiny little pool of water which would have probably dried up before the tide came back in, so we used a spade and put him into the larger rock pool and he started to swim off a bit.
They feel so gross to stand on with bare feet, I have no idea why I was even barefeet because the year before I cut my foot pretty bad on a sharp bit of rock and the red cross who were at the beach had to clean the cut out and patch it up.

It's nice walking on the beach in bare feet.......but not on those jellyfish. Ewwww! I think it's their tentacles that sting you, not their body. But they'd feel horribly slimy to stand .

I love the beach. Since I was a kid, holidays were mostly on beaches and I used to run around catching those small crabs in droves to trap in my aquarium....and by the time we drive back home (2 hour drive) half of them are dead, and the other half last another 2-3 days. I was a f**king murderer but I blame my parents for not stopping me. If there were jellyfish you bet I would've caught that too.

Oh poor little crabs! These jellyfish were MASSIVE. I remember as a kid messing around in the sea (Llandudno, North wales) swishing a small jelly fish back and fore in front of me, when another one came from behind and stung my leg. It really hurt. My dad got some stufffom the chemist......but apparantly weeing on jelly fish stings stops the hurting.

Yeah, it is nice walking on the beach in bare feet. Yep it is their tentacles but how were there none of its tentacles next to itas it was in practically no water. It felt like jelly... but just hard enough/strong enough not to break apart. Needless to say I jumped off it crazy fast. In the beach near me there is a few nice bits to catch crabs, jellyfish, occasional trapped fish, lots of shrimps and some pretty big crabs if you know where to look, it used to be me and my oldest brother and we'd overturn rocks that were freaking heavy and once we turn it there would be like 10-15 crabs run out in all directions. We'd go for the biggest ones. About 30mins away there is an even better beach that has an awesome rocky bit with LOTS of pools that are knee-deep once the tide goes out (some are 30ft wide) and at that one you can find a few fish each time the tide goes out. We also found a HUGE mudskipper, normally the mudskippers are 3-4 inches long, the one we found was like 9 inches and really fat. The same pools get quite a lot of edible size shrimp in them that can be caught with a net, people always underestimate how fast shrimp can swim. Don't know how bad your beaches are/were for crabs but we could fill an aquarium in a day easy, all with hand size crabs. The way to keep the crabs alive is to make sure the water is cool enough and has enough oxygen in it. Yeah, meanie hammer killing the crabs! Yep weeing is supposed to help but f*** letting someone pee on me >_< I can just imagine you saying "It really hurt" it sounds so so cute! haha Oh poor little crabs! These jellyfish were MASSIVE. flags? Roads? I've just jellyfish and sea pictures. The weeing didn't happen Hammer, mthough I have if on good authority that some people enjoy this pursuit........regardless of wether they've been stung by a jellyfish.
Today I am Absolutely nackered! My lower limbs from the knees down are agony! I'll post some pics later. Not of my lower limbs! Right now, shower, then wine. I found bullets today. Tell you later.

A little sidetrack now.,a lot of land along this particular part of the coast is owned by MOD. They use it to practise shooting. Some bits you can only go on at the weekend, and they have some if the best climbing areas, lovely scenery, seals and loads of birds.we were in one such place today. Yesterday, slightly further round the coast, we could here the firing, deap, boom noises and today we saw tanks, maybe it was the. Doing the firing? There are notices alls long this section of coast asking you not to pick up any MOD debris because it might blow up and kill you.....those are the exact words! But I found two bullets and picked them up. Only little ones. Jabs, any ideas what they were shot from. And if they might blow up? I Picture 1. Yesterday we came to another bit of the coastal path that was blocked saying you can't enter, but we went in any way. In here were remnants of old trenches, the only ones left in the UK . It's where they taught the soldiers how to fight in trenches. We scurried on quite quickly in case soldiers started shooting. I Figured if sheep were in there the soldiers wouldn't shoot, so kept the sheep between me and prospective soldiers. Picture 2. On exiting this area a sign said a red flag would be displayed and/ or a red light when you couldn't go in the area because of shooting. WHY WASNT THAT SIGN DISPLYED AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE AREA.

Anyway should be in chalet on Thursday all being well. Stopping on the way to see a famous house...forgotten the name but I'll take photos. You'll be driving by me! I hope the ferries are all working good because it was a mess today. A kid I know was expecting to go to France via Ferry with his GF and parents, they had to pay an extra £500 to get them all to where they wanted to get to by plane instead. I've been on the Ferry like 6-8 times and on two of the occasions there were loads of people throwing up overboard / in the toilets because of the choppy weather, I've never felt even remotely sick on the Ferry because of the fact we're moving along... yet I get car sick if I'm not concentrating on the road in front and also get sick on choppy weather if I'm out boat fishing in the sea, as soon as we start moving I fell fine. Not exactly sure why the moving along on the boat works, but in a car it would make me worse... Just like on trains, I love watching people walk along especially when it's choppy. Because of fishing on boats & using the train every day too and from school I keep my balance and can walk around choppy boats / bumpy trains just like normal but there are other people who nearly fall over all the time and walk so tentatively (evil that I find it funny when they eventually fall or have to grab onto something)RC, do you get car sick if you're a passenger and do you get boat sick if it's choppy?

RyRy, do you live in Dover? I used to get carsick as a child, I hated long car journeys . I'm fine now. If the road's very twisty and I'm playing on my iPad, or reading ( magazines are worse than books or kindle for some reason) then I sometimes feel a bit weird. Boats I'm ok with. Been on a few gullet cruises and a school cruise as a child. I think I probably do that funny walking thing though.

Where are those?
I'm on the boat now. There were lorries stacked all around Dover. So many lorries everywhere. And on this drive, just from Nottingham to Dover, there were FOUR motorway closures. M1, M3, M4, M42. Also closed two major A roads. A50 and A3. What'd going on here?

The quote of mine is a link to the user location map. You can also access it from the top navigation bar (unless you are on the mobile app version).

I would be guaranteed to feel awful doing that. Twisty roads make the majority of people feel unwell, messes up our brain via ears and eyes. The funny walking is so funny, also frustrating because I can't see why they are struggling That cough cough bbcode should show a HUGE font, flashing, in their face lol Where are those? Well. Now Im off the phone and on the ipad and I can see that between the cough cough's its clickable. But guess what happens when I click. I get a ..' You don't have permission' message. how rude..... {Click me to view the spoiler!}Or did I press something wrong? Anyway. I'm now in Vienne, slightly South East of Lyon. On the way we passed a load of bikers with a name ive forgotten on the back of their leathers, I think they were heading to Vienne because after eating a meal , very loud music could be heard coming from the old amphitheatre, and flashing lights. It sounded like loads of people were in there! Couldn't sneak in because heavies were guarding the ways in but it sounded good. I looked up who was playing and the headliner was a Paris group called Shaka Ponk. Anyone heard of them? Liam? The support band were called Minuit.
