Finally caught Revenant last night. I pity all those chicks booking their tickets just to see the two pretty boys, DiCaprio and Hardy. Not only do you see a very unattractive Hardy, but you gotta endure a lot of gruesome sh!t which Leo goes through. Tom Hardy stole the show for me. Fantastic acting as usual and such a natural. The only odd part was at some points I was laughing my ass off at some things he said while the rest of the theatre was silent. (to those who have seen: that part about the 'proper burial'). After the movie my friend was like "you really shouldn't be laughing at those parts"

Today I finally got around to watching the latest Star wars movie.
It was good I enjoyed it. It ticked all the box's. Only thing I did not like was that some of the plot was just not very subtle

I think it's supposed to be for everyone who's enjoyed the original trilogy young or old. It was a bit heavy on the nostalgia but I think they wanted to bring star wars back after what the prequels and special editions did.

Finally got around to watching Spectre this evening.
And I just found it all a bit dull. Too long. Disappointing.

I dozed off a couple of times in the cinema in the first half, was confused about what was going on but don't know if that was the movie or me dozing off, the second half picked up a bit.

Just back from watching Jungle Book and had the strangest experience ever. Two or three moments when tears were almost rolling down my face (I love animals and loved the cartoon back then) but when leaving the theater felt very disappointed. Couple of things happened (and the way they happened in the movie) was just wrong....and downright stupid writing. And they left out a few very important characters, I don't know why. How this movie is almost 2 hours long I don't know, it felt like an hour worth of material at most.
Sigh.

I watched "London has fallen" last night. It was action packed all through. I can recommend it. The screen shots at the beginning when the terrorists first strike make you gasp as famous London landmarks are blown up. ( not giving anything away) Only down side....those cringey ' American bits'. That come into all those sorts of films. ( sorry WB) . Can't say about one in particular because that would give something away.

Awww you're so sweet, no need to apologize, I wouldn't see the movie myself. I know some of the are littered with American bit, but somehow they manage to make more money globally than they do in the US so someone is watching them! I took in The Expanse, good TV series nine episodes for the first season. It's really good sci-fi that's worth a rainy weekend binge. Game of Thrones next week and Orphan Black premiered their 4th season yesterday and I've been savoring Better Call Saul. It's been nice having good shows to look forward to.

I've got the game of thrones first box set waiting to be watched, haven't got round to it yet but I will. Great p drama series I've watched recently are..
The night manager. It's the most expensive series the BBC have ever made. It's really really good.
Happy valley. Just watched the second series of that.
Also some of the Swedish dramas are very good.

Did you check out Dark Matter? I'm pretty sure you might like that TV show if you enjoyed The Expanse. Maybe even Colony, I know I'm very much interested in colony because there's something that I've wanted to know since the first episode and the first season gas finished without telling me so I'm looking forward to the next season so I can find out. Game of thrones is awesome, you just have to be open minded with the fighting and gore. You watch a program that I call a "granny show", my mum and nans watch the night manager so I tell them it's a granny show lol For me, I thought it was awful but there was 1 scene I saw that I enjoyed.
