No doubt it will be tough - we know how many hits the other teams took last year on 5 units...

I think they will be the classic, fast but unreliable team. Mercedes set a high bar. But the problem I have with this, especially with the decisions to move on with in season development is that it flipped Honda into a the disadvantage column as compared to the other engine vendors.
They will struggle regardless. Mercedes and Renault both completed the entire winter tests on one engine, specifically the Merc block went nearly 7 race distances!

The thing is though last year it was their first year with this Engine spec, so this year they'll be better with reliability which means it's Honda's turn to go through that unreliable phase which is even harder because only 2 cars going round getting data, finding problems...

Only two cars and one less engine. It will be tough for them. And possibly no Alonso, but of a mystery surrounding him.

The Alonso thing is weird. Smells weird. May be nothing to it whatsoever, but like I responded to someone yesterday, anything Ron has said over the last few season has come to... what's the complete opposite of fruition?

I don't know what I think about these rumours of him losing 10 years memory when he first woke up....

There are rumors that he woke up thinking he was still a karting driver, I personally don't believe the rumors but I at the same time wouldn't be surprised.
My theory is that something on the car DID go wrong but McLaren are covering it up not because of that part... but because of if that part was inspected it would mean a part they think has a huge potential would be seen like a part of the car that they think could give them 2 seconds advantage once they sort the engine out.

SkyF1: At least we know now what they were trying to hide.

This crossed my mind too but it sounds a bit too Peter Pan. It is strange how they're so reluctant to cover up....I mean sh!t happens in testing, a part fails, so what? But they clearly have something to lose if the exact cause of the crash is found out. Something made the guy lose control and it wasn't the freakin wind. Very mysterious.

That was so funny I had to quote it in its full glory, Its the kind of story Button would be happily telling people about or months - then saying 'but I had a lot of fun out there'

On a slightly more serious note. Mclaren are putting Alonso in the simulator in a bid to prepare him to return to racing. He will also be undergoing an FIA medical, www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/31923004
