Great great result for Porsche and Hulk. They pretty much did a Merc on Audi and the rest. Webber must be sick of having a young German drivers turn up in the same car grabbing his title

Porsche did to Audi what Audi has been doing to the rest of the Le Mans field for quite some time. It shows where the power of engineering is at the moment, the fastest laps ever set by any vehicle around Le Mans were set this weekend by Audi, faster than the Porsche 917s of old in a circuit wihtout areas designed to slow cars down. 3:17 around Le Mans is quite a feat, and still it wasn't enough.
Hulkenberg was solid and I hope to see more driver sharing like this over the coming years. Congratulations on winning Le Mans the first time out, not just anyone came make that claim.

But then, when thinking about the big picture, Audi are pretenders to the motorsports throne Porsche has always owned. They are not even a sports car brand, just a brand with sporty models enhanced by their recent WEC results. Lets face it Porsche are the motorsport kings fullstop and VW and its brands are really Porsche subsidiaries when it comes to engineering.
Even Merc with its new F1 credentials would not stand a chance were Porsche to turn up

Impressive by Hulk again, especially when they don't even have their new chassis

Two more years at Force India. Why is it that I can't help but feel bittersweet about this?

As I said on Facebook. Now he has signed this, I believe his ship has now sailed...

Finding it interesting that Mercedes would assign German language promotional driving duties in the wet to Nico Hulkenberg instead of Nico Rosberg.

Renault has confirmed it has signed Nico Hulkenberg on a multi-year deal starting in 2017.

Definitely worth the gamble to move to Renault IMO, He's 29 I think and looking long term there is more potential at a Works teams, never know in 2 or 3 years time Renault could have something good by then.

I'd missed this, but good humored way to hint at the imminent trade from Nico.

Wow Hulkenberg is still undefeated in the WOAT helmet game. Disappointed.

Hulkenberg is free at the end of the season, he’s should be a serious option for the top teams but they wont take him. I dont know what he has to do more to be taken seriously. So far hes doing a great job and makes Sainz looking like a fraud. And his pace in qualifying is definitely on Rosberg level and I consider Rosberg faster than Ricciardo. Sainz was faster than Verstappen on their rookie seasons. Hulk is probably faster than the RB guys and knows how to extract the most of his car. He is wasting his time at Renault, RB will keep that Renault engine and they will never be in position to beat them.

Take away the big 3 teams and Hulk is probably the 2nd best driver behind Alonso in the Midfield group. Before the start of the season I would've said Sainz would be ahead of Hulk, but Hulk has definately put Sainz in the shade so far. Something that has surprised me a little but at the same time it hasn't, Hulk has always been a very good operator.
