I already had Lewis and Mercedes crowned champions in Melbourne.

I already had Lewis and Mercedes crowned champions in Melbourne. Me too, it was very very unlikely that Mercedes could lose WCC and at the end of the day Hamilton is a far better driver than Rosberg so...

I don't know if far better is an accurate description, Were Lewis not be be there Nico would be leading the championship by just as wide a margin. In the sport, it's the little things that make the difference. I would never suggest that Alonso, Vettel, Hulkenberg, Ricciardo, hell even Bottas would fail to win the championship in this year's Mercedes. But that's no different than them winning the championship in the RB6 through RB9 car. Or the Ferrari before that, were they given clear number one support and had their number two drivers move aside upon request.
Same ol' same ol. It's just that Lewis rubs em' the wrong way. Whatever the reason may be.

If Hamilton was given number 1 preference then it would be an even bigger cakewalk. No issues at Hungary at all, they'd actually be comfortably further ahead on both both wcc and wdc and also Nico would also have better results because instead of fighting/protecting themselves they would be able to protect each other which could have helped on the tracks that they lost positions on.

No thanks, might as well paint that Merc red and call it another non racing horse stable.

Oh won't that be sweet! Actually that's not fair on Mclaren, I hope they sort out. But they went and signed Button AGEN! So now it serves them right if Mags and Vandoorne sign elsewhere. Mclaren will have lost out. Be funny if one of them ended up in Mnir and kept besting Jenson. So Manor have Merc engines. I wonder will Merc help them out a bit? I wonder if it is the first step to a B team? That would be cool!

Of course they'd be helping them out, Merc engines and probably tranny as well...and maybe some Petronas fuel for good measure. Mercedes has zero threat from Manor's car development operations (through a year), they could even help Manor almost become podium contenders. An extra guaranteed vote for pro-Merc incentives during rule changes, aero testing. Like bringing a new front wing and lending it to Manor saying "here, run 10 laps with this in FP1 if it works well you can use it for the next race son" ok I'm overstepping a bit, but you get what I mean.

Think Mclaren will be in some serious poo if they don't get up to speed, Mclaren could potentially be the likes of Minardi and Hispania, dead last. I could never imagine this a couple of years ago. F1, where teams rise and fall. not wrong.

They're getting the suspension and transmission from Williams.

Kind of hoping Merc would give them suspension and trans like what Ferrari and Haas are doing.
Anyways Williams is still good.

Merc race team made a loss last year of 76. (Ish) million, despite more prize money and more sponsors. It was mainly a bigger wage bill ( some of this was performance bonuses to staff because performance exceeded expectation by quite a lot) and the new engine. That won't mean ToTo lost money will it? Anyway there's more about the ins and outs of it on this article. m.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121135

I read that yesterday. It puts it into perspective that if a team can have a record breaking year and still lose money, it underscores how bad the teams that don't get 100 million just for showing up really have it.

But their profits were 2+ billion because of sponsorships.

Anyway there's more about the ins and outs of it on this article. m.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121135The loss mount was budgetted for, and is to be covered by the extra prize money they get for winning the WCC in 2015. Its said that\they will receive an extra 80mill payout (still less than Ferrari). So its not really a loss in any worrying way. All these teams run at a loss, i.e they will use up all the money coming in from wherever. Prize money + sponsorship + partnerships, in Mercs case the partnership money will be an open tap from Daimler and will perfectly match whatever shortfall there is for whatever budget is agreed. And its said the brand has derived benefits of over 500 mill anyway so net net everyones laughing As for Toto and Niki the shareholders, they wont have lost any money at all, its likely they get renumerated from the budget. There no chance they are drawing profit splits because whatever profit ever gets generated by the team will be down to the funding from Merc
