Pretty good weekend overall. I enjoy it most when both cars are in perfect working order so there are no questions. Am I the only one that, while watching the racing, every once in a while would look down at the time gaps between Lewis and Nico to see the gap dropping by large numbers? At one point, I thought "Oh no, Lewis must have a problem with the car!" and then within a lap, he raised the gap again. I feel like he was just drawing Nico in, making him think he was naturally catching up and made him push more, using up his tyers. Then Lewis would just pull away again. The post-race look on Nico's face was like "What do I have to do?"
Such fun!

This was a nice tweet to Lewis from Arnie, really sweet. Love the guy, and it was the first podium interview I genuinely enjoyed.

Lewis was like a big kid meeting him it was adorable, I said in chat that it was a pretty damn good interview, normally most interviews are kinda shitty but he was asking questions well, giving them time to answer and spent an equal amount of time with each driver.

Lewis is now only 5 race wins behind Vettel - so he should be ahead by the summer break.

Yep first thing I did was check out the stats after his win. Should fly over Vettel much before the year ends.

I cant believe how much fun F1 is at present. Barely 2 days after the first race and we have had entertainment that surpasses our expectations from the buttsore. I can even imagine what would happen if Merc and Lewis win the next 10 in a row.
We have Seb going to a Merc debrief next week - I reckon they will put on show of convincing him the cars are really about 5 seconds ahead and are always turned down completely - its gonna be great
Then We got the odious Horner and bernie with the equalisation stuff, and we all know short of banning the Merc engine and then only for 2017, nthing at all can or will change to equalises Renault and Merc, so all we will see is th PR destabilisation attempt again
But the players - Toto and Lewis - thy are gonna really entertain us as they smack down the idiots and hatrz, more and more of whom will come out the woodwork.
On the back of Toto telling Twatish Spice to work harder - Lewis has just said he would beat any driver on the grid in equal cars - BOOM
Not a single driver on that grid will have the bollocks to respond to that- embarrassment from Seb might even see him stop picking on Nico an sliding off to the best F1 team ever
Even the old lame ducks like J Stewart will not be too keen on the 2 sec car critique, especially when Lewis has won a race each season and has won 2 wdcs with 2 different teams
I still hope the Watsons, Stewarts, McNishs, Coulthards at least have a go at trying to destabilise the Champion
This season is so far like lying in the bath with a nice 80 year old Irish single malt and a radio phone in between Horner and some brand new Ferrari Seb supporters

LOL I love you Cookie! You know what, Lewis has ALWAYS known he would beat anyone in equal equipment. He's had to reign himself in because of the haterz, the anti press, the Whitmarsh / Button shenanigans and the ' What ho! Know your place young man!'brigade. But now, he doesnt have to kow tow to anyone, he can come right out and say such audacious statements as........' I can beat anyone in equal equipment!' And yes, you can sir!

I'm a little afraid, that on the surface with our membership drive, one would surmise this place to be full of sexual deviants and alcoholics. But don't judge us so quickly, we are not so one dimensional. We have many other disorders, habits and addictions, promise.

I'm fine with sharing a bath, so long as the lights are dimmed, the candles are lit and the aged gentleman sitting on the side is one Dom Pérignon.

Lewis has made a claim that is bordering on the most astonishing and comprehensive sporting alpha statement or challenge ever laid down by a sportsman outside a boxing ring - where such claims are usually much less of a risk if the all confident one issuing them is unbeaten or has some equally tangible evidence to make such claims.
However in a sport like F1 where the car is such a big factor to make such a claim beggars belief.
However what is much more telling and even more astonishing is the reaction to this claim - NOTHING. In a sport where anyone elevating himself is usually laughed of as arrogant, silly or like Alonso deluded (when he mentioned bringing 6/10ths along). At the very least miles an miles of media and forum chatter would accompany such a remark especially when the favourite pastime of most is the old 'my driver is the best' We have heard nothing at all from anyone, especially not from the Brit media who would have creamed themselves with such arrogance only a year ago. Even the forums are seemingly completely dazed and speechless
Sites like the Judge who enjoying taking the easy route of turning Lewis into click bait, for example for a near constant narrative about his unsigned contract and how he is about to leave the winning Merc and go for a challenge at Manor or McLaren etc. Seems someone there has forgotten about the unsigned contract and has not even noticed Lewis' arrogance. He is said to have bought a Ferrari recently - in the middle of his contract, yet there are no reports about how Lewis is arrogantly pushing his luck everywhere
Most strange behaviour by the Brit media, but hat about the other drivers, not one has responded to this arrogance of the guy with the best car, surely Seb should be all over this, especially as Lewis said before Seb just had the best car, but nothing from Seb either.
To feel the gap, lets pick a driver and make a post giving the argument the driver could make to contest Lewis' arrogance, if he had the nerve. Ill start with Alonso Alonso - ' I refute that statement Lewis, in your rookie year I matched you, an i am now better than I was all those years ago so I am calling you out on that statement'
Heres the article btw

Cookin, I suspect it's quiet on all fronts because there is a load of truth to it (in my estimation). And I think most or everyone might agree, though I'm sure there are some that would do so while choking on their own spit. (Yes, the haters.) No driver in this modern era wants to take on this guy. Nico is full of bravado but when you hear him speak, what you hear is a guy who uses Lewis as a benchmark that he hopes to beat one day. Everyone else...well, nuff said.

Hmmmn, I see what you mean - he is now the indisputed best driver on the grid, as he has made this claim and non of the others dispute it. And even the fans of Alonso and Seb are actually taking the drivers word for it and no longer bringing any arguments
I guess there is nothing to be said from anyone. Its a real shame that Seb cant reward his followers from a few years ago by speaking up - just like Lewis and Alonso did while he was winning
A bit unfair on us Lewis supporters to roll over like that but then it would be like taking sweets from a baby, or like lapping Red Bull in the first race of the season
Eminem WHERE are you? Please please please bring us some stats
Good thing is that at last watching a driver in a 2 sec car chalk up the victories is more palateable when you know he is also the best even if everyone else had the same car

A real modern day IROC race would be a stupendous thing to witness. IROC was the reason I fell in love with motor racing in the first place.

It would be close out of both Alonso and Hamilton still but I think Hamilton would eventually win.
I wish they'd do something once a year like a kart race to prove whos the best xD
