Hard hit in car video from the Dubai 24 released by Primus Racing. A little bit of info on these Ginetta G50 models, they're actually designed with middle east racing in mind so they've got a serious case of cooling upgrades, you can get a race trim ready car for about $100k.

Just a reminder for you guys to tune in today. I received an invitation to watch the first three hours of the race at my local Porsche dealership. They'll have food and drinks and multiple screens with camera feeds from the Factory Porsche team and live timing and scoring screens. Might as well, it's cold and it's an excuse to avoid shoveling.

Woke up to Porsche leading both GTLM and the GTD but a lot of racing stil to go. Barrichello helping to drive the Corvette Prototype in the overall lead and Sabine Schmitz currently driving the number 30 Porsche "meatball" car a lap down, 8th in class. Good racing so far, a lot of fast cars.

Old rich guys and men going thru a mid life crisis do love their Porsche's WB. Those are the only people I see driving them on the street.

Entertaining read over at Top Gear comparing the Porsche WEC championship car and Mercedes' W06 championship F1 car.

Always wanted Porsche to win the 24hrs particular the number #1 car but the #2 got the win in dramatic fashion, but in saying that I feel gutted for Toyota in the way that the race slipped away from them, so cruel for them. The Porsche and the Toyota were evenly match, probably the Porsche was quicker in pace but Toyota had the edge in doing 14 lap stints to Porsche's 13 lap stints and probably gave Toyota the upper hand for the win. It was definitely a terrific 24hr race from the bits I watch and read about.
Now I sort of want Toyota to win it next year, damn that must be heartbreaking stuff.

It was a fucked up 24 all around, the challenges and counter challenges in GTE Pro were ridiculous, Porsche inheriting the lead the way they did seems hollow but ruthlessly Le Mans, as it's happened before and will happen again. Both Ford and Ferrari were clearly sandbagging, with Corvette and Porsche pushing because they had to and then being forced into a weight penalty!?!? And to top it all off, the last two fucking hours of the race were preempted by Fox here in the states to show Golf... GOLF for fucking sake and I couldn't see the last two hours of the race.

That sucks man, almost need a dedicated motorsport channel, Something like the SPEED channel, that was a good channel. With GTE, I haven't been following real close as my focus is on LMP but I think will be hearing much more about the sandbagging.

Omygod! Just watching last race in the BTTC and there's been a massive crash! Hunter Abbots car got launched by another crash and somersaulted into a Camerman's scaffold perch gantry thingie. And the gantry collapsed!! Driver is ok. Camerman is ok but stunned. Lucky that gantry didn't land on anyone else. It's at Snetterton. Very scary.
