Hmmmm, wonder if they'll go back to actually doing serious reviews of cars for some segments of the show. Unquestionably, they have Chris Harris...

This was posted a while back, I be I even shared it back then. Top Gear just shared it. It's a good look at Sabine's handiwork slicing through the field in her Porsche GT3 Nurburgring specialized team.

The new top gear is shit. Chris Evans acting the duffus (or perhaps not acting) and Matt LeBlanc, has the charisma of a wet paper bag. It was so painful I tuned out a half hour into it.

Yeah I saw it Sunday night. They fucked up big time.
They tried to keep it too much like the old format - so it was never going to work!
It was being slated on Twitter whist it was being broadcast. Everyone thinks Chris just shouts.
I didn't mind Matt too much - he was a bit wooden. But he did deliver some funny lines.
Top Gears day is done. Time to move on.
So now we just have to see what The Grand Tour has to offer... (That is Clarkson et al's new show).

sticking with roughly the old format with a new cast is a bad idea, they should take it a new direction and make it their own instead of trying (badly) to be stand ins. Chris is annoying and i doubt he'll change, Matt I could see getting into the part a bit more and the interviews (if you can call it an interview) of the stars in the rallycross car have been awful.

I like the change to the course for the stars segments, but not a fan of the interview style. I like the differing approaches of the presenters segments, but not a fan of the overall production.
Just show me fast cars and presenters acting like kids in candy shops and I'll be happy.

Only watched the first episode but just remembered another thing, the sound is horrible in the warehouse/studio whatever they call that. The segments were fine but they seriously need to rethink their microphone strategy.

I still watch it, but not like I used to. I would download the latest episode and watch it as soon as it was out on Monday (Aus time)... now, well I only just watched ep 3 and I skip a fair few segments. Bring on "The Grand Tour"

Im fickle. I like Top Gear v3.0.
Matt Le Blanc - I really like him in this. Even though he is still wooden in the Studio (this will improve), he is great on the features, and his deadpan humour works great on the show. Chris Evans - I tolerate. If he stays, thats fine - if he goes, probably a little better. Sabine / Chris H. / Rory Reid - All really add something to the show. EJ - He can fuck off.
Its made me realise how crap the last couple of seasons of Top Gear v2.0 had become. The show made it all about the old 3 presenters and their personalities (/egos). It was fake and too scripted. And I think that The Grand Tour, will be even worse!

That's about three or four episodes too long. Hope they can save the show.

I've heard revived talk of Button going on it. actually he'd probably do a good job, he has the gift of the gab. Don't think I'd enjoy it though And it can't be yet. Maybe that's his team for next season?

He'd vehemently deny everything he said in the previous episode only to have the tape played for him.

Oh make no mistake. It's going to be shit. It wasn't that good lately anyway. This is never going to be able to live up to the hype. Ok. So I just watched the first episode of The Grand Tour on Amazon. I was wrong in my above quote. It was quite good, and their camaraderie is what makes the show. The new Top Gear by comparison, was shite.

So anyone with Prime can watch it? I'll take a look.
