Maybe while you're at it buying parts for your car. Mr. blurry came should upgrade his Motorola Flip Phone...

I can make any car look fast just by sitting in it.

On a serious note - if its just a track car - can you not get a stiffer setup - or would that affect your handling too much?
Bear in mind Im an idiot.

More stiffness means a harsher ride....how's WB gonna pick up chicks in his Porsche when they get roughed around on the way to a hotel.

There's only one seat so no picking up chicks. I can stiffen it up, but there's always trade offs. Too stiff and you can lose traction coming out of corners, or introduce too much under steer. I'd also need a lot more rubber which wouldn't come cheap since I'd have to get new rims front and rear. This car is all about muscling it around, it's very willing, that's fun driving! I can hang with Porsches that are 20~25 years younger, and that's fun enough for me.

Wß About my car. The project was abandoned......by this dickhead who was working on my car and went AWOL. So the foreman had to get another team on the project....and he only told me about the guy who ran away once he found the new people. So the car was stagnant for over 2 weeks. I was really cheesed off about that, but what can be done? It's in pieces over there, and I have no option but to ask for a new timeline. New timeline is now by end of this month... Anyway, latest pics. I chose to get a 2nd hand rear subframe from a 4.0L E34...originally the plan was to put an E32s subframe, which would result in the tyres jutting out by half a cm and I don't want to go down that route as it would screw with alignment and all that. So got this subframe, and new bushings for this subframe couple of days ago. Transporting it from one shop to another was a b!tch though. I got a friend with a 4WD to help me out...and we really had a work out that day. Subframe Car with engine installed. Engine has been started, all fine thus far. This one with the beltings installed and sensitive electronics already in, which is why its covered from the weather.

Updates...the major work is all done now. New subframe mounted; Custom mounts for the ECU, oil pump and new fuel pipes all installed. Exhausts to be installed next, and then the entire front end to be done up. What's left is wiring (pulling the ignition and gb wires to the front, since CKD E34s have wiring inside the car instead of outside for CBU units....that would take a day or two after the whole car is put back together. Just relieved to see some major progress again after over a month. Car should be resting on its own wheels again before end of next week.

Looks like they're doing a nice job cleaning up the entirety of the engine bay in the process. Keep the picks coming.
Why did it require a new sub frame?

Previous post, 2nd paragraph! Original frame was built to handle a 2.0L engine and the diff ratio would not do for this one....I'd be revving at 4k at a 120km/h. This diff would give me 160km/h at 3k RPM.

She's becoming whole again. Have a vid I can't post here. Engine was removed for final check earlier today to make sure everythings ship shape. You hear the firing sequence sorts itself out only at end of vid. Once all is together, I will be driving it slowly to another guy who will remove the top half again and go through the skimming process. Then put it back together with a proper valve timing tool (which my foreman doesn't have). Just to be safe and sure. Wß will tag you on my fb post in case you want to see it.

How are you getting around during all this? Im driving the 'Smurf'. It's my mums car....she's on Eastern Msia now with my dad so I'm maintaining her car. It's a msian car, company is called Perodua. This is a Perodua Myvi. I'm thankful for it...it's a good little car to get from point a to point b, good fuel consumption, very cheap parts and pretty reliable. The car company we all hate is Proton (if you'e heard of it), a bloodsucking leech which brings out mostly sub par cars. It ain't a car to impress chicks though. I told my gf to be patient, once I get my ride back I'll take her for a real date.
