For this season, I will be officially rooting for Hulkenberg, Force India, Lewis, and Mercedes and of course, Red Bull should they ever be behind Ferrari.

For me, Ricciardo, Red Bull, Alonso, Mclaren-Honda and Force India. But if its just Mercedes vs Ferrari all season long then I rather Ferrari to topple Mercedes, nothing against Lewis, just can't stand that Toto.

For me I'd be rooting Lewis first, and then both Redbulls, and then anyone not from Maranello and Alonso.
Still have hope for RB to come good fast (as they usually do) and trouble at least 1 Mercedes by the 5th or 6th race.
I can't believe there's a race this weekend!

For me ... Lewis......Next, either Red Bull driver , both really good drivers. Then Perez , in the pink corner.
And I'd sneakily like Kimi to beat Vettel.

I almost put £50 on Perez to win a race this season.
He was about 80/1 - which I thought was worth a punt. But I didn't. I'm not really a betting man.

He could do it if circumstances fell right. Certainly could get a podium.

Well that was my logic. But I just chickened out.

Who's your overachiever and disappointment of the season after two races?
Here's mine;
Overachiever: Ferrari (Genuinely surprised, I thought they'd be a solid third from Race 1. I'll continue being surprised unless they fall back to third again by the end)
Disappointment: Renault (After all that tooting of the horn by the manager, boasting about the teams constructor budget and size I expected them to fight for 4th easily...they've performed even worse than McLaren)

Overachiever- have to agree with you about Ferrari. It's great to see them up there , makes for a good season.
Sainz ( often slips under the radar for me , but proving to be very handy, especially when it's tricky conditions)
Max? Based on last race. But then it's not really an overachievement, because I think he's Lewis' biggest long term threat.
Disappointment-
Red Bull ( didn't think they'd be so far from the Ferrari's in pace, but maybe that's just a measure of Ferrari's success rather than Red Bulls failure? And they're closer in the race)
Bottas ( needs to up his game)
Stroll ( its early days but Williams are suffering )
Kimi( again early days but he seems no where near Vettel at the moment )

Over/Under need to work out. But one thing that's standing out for me is car's baseline vs driver ability in Qualifying for the top 3 teams.
Mercedes - Bottas is the car's baseline, given his lack of experience in it, he is pretty much showing what the car can do simply by running. Lewis shows what that bit extra can get you. Ferrari - Kimi is the car's baseline. It's a few tenths off Mercedes. Vettel is showing what can be done in the right hands, and is matching Bottas. Red Bull - Ricciardo is the car's baseline. Max shows what can be done on race day, but is still hit and miss.
Renault & McLaren - Alonso & Hulk are out performing the car, while their team mates are under performing.
Obviously RBR and others will bring updates for Spain, but based on what's been seen so far, I honestly think of the 18 race left, 15 will line up Ham / Vet / Bot / Rai

I pray that Merc and Ferrari manage to match development with each other, and that there is a fight all season. And I also pray that RedBull up their development, giving Max a car to compete with them. (as long as Max keeps his head). I think we are in for a good season.

Come on guys... Ferrari as the overachiever? They're Ferrari, they own the sport, without them F1 would be nothing and they show up every year promising to win, what they're doing this year is what THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO! No free passes on this one.
Over achiever Toro Rosso in the hands of Sainz.
Grossjean is a solid driver, perhaps looking a bit too much to jump ship to Ferrari as the first chance but I'm thinking next year there's going to be a ton of movement. Kimi needs to be kicked out, he's just way past his expiration date. Grossjean most likely to get the nod but I wouldn't be surprised if they also look for Ricciardo with Sainz moving to Red Bull.
For Mercedes, they need to see how Bottas develops but as of now he's under performing both in qualifying and on race pace.
Renault, despite anything they may have in the car, the engine is just the Achilles heel and we won't see anything from them until they get their lump together which won't come until Barcelona from what we keep hearing.

Yes Wß, for their level of intelligence they are indeed overachieving. Grosjean is acting like he's won three World Championships and is doing everyone else on track a favour by being present. Lol Kimi needs to put his hand up and say "I used to be great about 4 years ago, I'm leaving" instead of saying the Ferrari engine has "zero torque", while Vettel was struggling to pass him. I'm very much hoping for Redbull to come into the frame and fight for poles along with the other two, what an insane season this would turn out to be. Feels wrong to have an intelligent team like Redbull fighting for podium scraps.

Well , you know, I was talking relatively......regarding Ferrari. They are overachieving on past performances of late....... long term late.

So Pirelli has abandoned the unpopular Hard orange tyre for Silverstone, good common sense move.
Really all the Pirelli tyres are on the conservative side which I can understand with the new cars, hopefully they will be a little aggressive next year. Just seem weird that the ultra soft tyre is 'durable tyre', they lasted quite a while in Sochi, so Ultra Soft I feel isn't a fitting name for that tyre.
I actually think Pirelli should rename all the tyres to names that are actually fitting to the tyres actual performance.
(Purple) Ultra soft to Semi Hard (Red) Super soft to Hard (Yellow) Soft to Super Hard (White) Medium to Ultra Hard (Orange) Hard to Rock Hard
