Hamilton's race PU today was the one he first used back in Spain! Pretty decent life out of that lump.

Ferrari... oh my goodness Ferrari... here was your chance to pull it all back...
The Constructors Cup is over for Maranello now, and that's a brutal setback for Sebastian Vettel. The carnage took a significant bit of life out of the race, and it was a shame that RBR never found the form it showed over Friday and Saturday.
Mercedes... count your lucky stars.

Look, I'm just saying... 2013 season: Close title battle with multiple drivers "in the mix" winning races. No back to back winners for the 1st half of the season. The driver that won the 2nd race of the year and the Canadian GP came back from Summer break ready for battle and went on to win Belgium, Italy, Singapore, and the remaining 6 races to claim his 4th WDC. 2017 season: Close title battle with multiple drivers "in the mix" winning races. No back to back winners for the 1st half of the season. The driver that won the 2nd race of the year and the Canadian GP came back from Summer break ready for battle and went on to win Belgium, Italy, Singapore, ? trying to claim his 4th WDC.

We were robbed of a great race today. :grumble:

This kinda shit makes you wonder if the 'stars aligning' theory and astrology etc, actually has some sort of substance.

On a lighter note....
Bottas basically can't stop laughing because right before this, Ricciardo asked "mind if I fart?" and let one go when the other shrugged.

Ridiculous how both ferraris created a fast shrinking wedge. Even Raikkonen had space on his left but was veering right, not really to be blamed but he didn't help the situation one bit. Vettel of course, caused the panic and got his just rewards.
IMO Alonso is a complete idiot as well. Verstappen was right there and you'd expect with his experience the best driver on the grid would give some space to ensure he gets through. Even Lewis said he braked really late since he saw all that chaos happening next to him.

Hammer, that's a great view of it! Jeez the Ferrari's just shut the door on Max. He had nowhere to go. Both of them ( though Vettel to a greater extent) were really not aware. And yes, Alonso also cut across and could have avoided that, hadn't realised that. Maybe we're being a bit harsh, it happens so quickly.

At that speed in the wet Alonso was committed there was no way for him to change course because he was focused on the position ahead, had no clue that Kimi would have slide across the track the way he did. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens, just like being in McLaren in 215, 2016 and 2017.

He might not know about Kimi but pause at 0:35....surely a guy with decent peripheral vision would be taking avoiding action immediately. There was absolutely NO ROOM for Verstappen to make that corner and Fonzi must've known he was there, they were side by side.

The Italians are not happy. Some of the comments here are acutally pretty brutal, they'd be funny if not for being so sad.

Ouch! At least, partisan as they are, they can see what actually happened here. Many still in denial.

Oh that was funny Wß ! and even funnier is, I can picture 'some people' watching it and going..."yep.......absolutely........good point......I knew it!.......yep......it's all there......." right up to the point where the word parody is mentioned. Then it's flicked off with a flounce.
