He's a bit of douche but he can definitely drive, I'm expecting big fireworks between Max and Daniel next year if they Red Bull have a shot at the title. It could be nasty especially if Red Bull get on par with Merc on car performance. A bit? He needs to mature fast otherwise he will lose his drive because he's currently being a PR nightmare, top teams and their sponsors don't want that as it hurts their brand(s) If he matures he'll be a really good driver, but didn't now.

He won't lose his job. He's bringing attention, that's what it's all about.
He's 18 and on the whole conducts himself pretty well in interviews. I don't think he's any more immature in his attitude and comments than the histrionics we've seen in the past from Vettel and Alonso no they were a lot older and more experienced than Max.
Who do you think has the best mind set to survive in F1 Max Verstappen or Danni Kvyat?

It turns out that at the Italian GP Charlie Whiting 'had a word' with young Max. Told him he needed to calm down. This was in response to actions withKimi on the Kemmel straight at Spa. Whilst Max didn't actually break any rules, he did break a drivers unwritten code ( I think that the case, that I've read) . Anyway, if similar incidents occur again it could result in Max being shown the black and white flag. This is a warning of unsportsmanlike behaviour. It's only shown once and if the behaviour continues then the black flag is shown and thedeuver disqualified.
Verstappen admitted he'd been told to be careful. He said..
" They didn't see it as something wrong. Maybe it was on the edge. And then maybe they would introduce a black and white flag if it happened again. "

19 years old today. Wasn't long ago they were talking about him joining F1 and being just 17. My how time flies.

And with that, Max is signed to 2020. At least that's 2 seats confirmed for 2019 Will be interesting what they do with Ricciardo. Having Sainz leave is a blessing in a way, removes the pressure to have to bump him up or lose him.

Good move by Verslappen (or Jos' decision) since the only teams in the next few years which could make a consistent dent is Mercedes and Redbull. Renault being an outside chance.

I think RBR could be a contender next season. An engine close to Mercs performance, and if RBR bring out a better chassis it is game on. I have a higher opinion of RBR management compared to Merc unfortunately.
