I'm finding Mercedes are starting to irritate me, especially on Twitter. I don't know why this should be because it's good that they interact with their fans. It just feels somewhat condescending these days. Yesterday they did a massive game releasing bits of a puzzle to reveal Bottas as the new driver. Maybe it was tongue in cheek but fans were fawning over it. I'm a miserable git ( gitess ? ) these days.

Mercedes banned me from their facebook page like half a year ago. So I dont give a shit about the brand 1 bit, I just want Lewis to win another WDC this year (and lose the WCC) and then scoot off to a team on the up.

It's because Toto was threatening Lewis with a punishment that then turned into an apology after the guy he pulled so many strings for through the season left him high and dry. You could say that Nico did to Toto what he did to Lewis in Monaco 2014. It's Ross Brawn that said he didn't trust Toto...

You know. I wish Mercedes had had faith in their junior programme and signed Icon or Wherlein.
We now have 44 and 77 I guess the numbers have a certain ring about them.

Mercedes just wants to make sure they have a solid guy racking up the points because they know Redbull is going to be all over their ass this season.

Pedro DeLa Rosa believes Mercedes will have an aero advantage, as they were so far ahead last year the could devote the limited testing to the 2017 car. He thinks Bottas will do well in the Mercedes environment and win some races but won't overall beat Hamilton. Cars will be 5 sec a lap faster and not so easy to manage. Should suit Lewis. www.motorsport.com/f1/news/mercedes-tipped-to-have-aero-advantage-in-2017-874106/?s=1

I hope he's been working to influence the 2017 car and the announcement now if more of a formality. Interesting to see how the development race pans out this year. On the McLaren front, they've basically jettisoned anything that had Ron's fingerprints on it.

Has anyone seen this? The rules have changed yet again on clutch's , putting it entirely in the drivers hands. Last year you Just had to release it between 10 and 80% said Kevin, Magnussen, and the clutch would map. This time it's all down to the driver. Ferrari have stuck with last years soultion, but Mercedes , mindful of the difficulties both their drivers had with starts last year, have come up with a new idea. They've made special ginger holes to operate the clutch. www.motorsport.com/f1/news/revealed-mercedes-finger-holes-to-help-f1-2017-starts-883444/
