They're the bargain of F1 at the moment. Any manufacturer looking to get in should scoop them up and then put their engine in the car in the next revision. You hear me Audi?

As with the News that Grosjean is heading to Hass F1 as confirmed by the Renault director, this confirms that Lotus will indeeed become Renault next year
The rumours for the driver to replace Grosjean are that it will be either Vergne or Ocon.

But why would Lotus keep Crashnator? His sponsorship is PDVSA, and Renault have big links with Total dont they - so how do those two sponsors mix?

But why would Lotus keep Crashnator? His sponsorship is PDVSA, and Renault have big links with Total dont they - so how do those two sponsors mix? Total holds some shares in PDVSA all be it small amounts and they have several agreements and deals going on where Total owns between 20% and upto 45% in certain ventures with them. Apparently Renault are willing to try and work on a deal with BOTH suppliers.

Yeah, I get that, and he is a surprise move to Lotus.
But who else would of been in that seat, with Roman going to Haas?

I had my money on Vergne but there's a lot of things up in the air, so no telling who's pulling strings for what and whom.
Perez has actually had a solid year with Force India so I'm not surprised his stock climbed a bit. On potential alone it's a win for him. But would anyone move into a team who's future you didn't feel was financially sound? He must be getting assurances to have signed if he did sign as reported.

Really? I wasn't expecting that! I think this is the piece of the puzzle that will allow the rest of the silly season announcements to commence.
