I think the haters, particularly the media haters and ex drivers have no where left to go. They've tried everything , but there's Lewis Hamilton beating the field comfortably. I was shot down in flames years back for suggesting on a forum that Lewis was similar in many ways to Senna. "YOU CANT COMPARE HAMILTON TO SENNA!!!!" Can't I? Coulthard , Davison and Hill have been backing off for sometime with their put downs, or their he can't focus/ think/ develop/ is distracted etc etc. Mansel and Lauda, both past critics, now sing his praise. Ok understandable by Lauda as Lewis now drivers for him. But I somehow don't think Lauda would hold back on speaking his mind whatever the situation. Brundle remains the one who sounds like he's spitting nails when he has to praise Hamilton. Did anyone notice what he said when Nico was exiting his pitstop on Sunday? 'Go on Nico!' Lewis beat the best driver around when he was a rookie. Who of those two will have improved the most since then? Which one will have had more scope for improvement?
Lewis has always had complete and utter confidence in his ability, through 2011 and his smashes with Massa, through the Whitmarsh/ Jenson bullpoo. He has never ever doubted his talent, doubted that he is the best. The difference we see in him is that he now has confidence in himself as a person. Im about to write an article which expands on this a little further.

The guy is likely to end the year as the third winningest driver of all time, with the same amount of championships and better podium and win percentages than anyone in modern F1, so it's getting a little harder to criticize without it coming across as downright silly. Then there's always idiot comments like these.

That's a perfect example of everything wrong with Ferrari. How stupid and political and bigoted the whole concept of tifosi and team partisanship is in F1. Let's look at this closely - I am here for sports but I am more interested in blind acceptance of what a comercial entity do and who they employ to provide the sports. I think a guy is very good at sports but that's not enough for me because I don't like the idea of his culture away from sports however if the comercial entity value his sports more then that will be enough for me to change my values.
This is worse than politics where you vote for those who would force you to do things in a way you don't believe in just because they tell you it's good for you
In that post you here the spanky and sagis. Ignorant brutes who sign up for every fascist type of gig as long as it promises to give them something to feel superior about over others that they have no other chance of competing against. They are so thick the irony evades them when they say 'I blindly do what my team say, and will blindly accept everything they do or drivers they pick as the best, even though I have clearly stated that I have no need for the best, not if they don't also fit with my idea of acceptance - which is ofcourse not mine but the parties'
It would be like being approached in a club by a girl who says 'I dress like a hooker, I sound like a hooker but I'm not a hooker, I just want to spend the night with you but you gotta pay. Oh and you have to respect me and take me seriously as a woman by not walking away assuming I'm a hooker'

Well, behavior outside F1 only applies to Lewis because he's a gansta rapper, Kimi's drunken stupors are quite acceptable. Forza Ferrari! Loz. If only people realized half the shit that comes out of their mouth. Somebody please talk me down here, but it seems like the Tifosi attract more than their fair share of em'.

[sarcasm]Oh God - I wish he'd just concentrate on being a driver. What an idiot. Who does he think he is - having interests outside F1. He gets so distracted. That's why he'll never succeed.[/sarcasm]

During contract negotiations with Mercedes mischief makers have suggested that Lewis has been seen talking to Ferrari. ' Sure he's been talking to Ferarri' replied Toto with a smile, ' he just bought a LaFerrari.' Toto has no problem with Lewis buying a Ferrari. When Vettel bought one , before joining Ferrari, he was made to keep it a secret. Apparantly these cars sold out as soon as they were released and were only sold to customers with at least five Ferraris already . I Need to meet a LaFerrari owner, I'm sure they could spare me one of their other ones. www.gtspirit.com/2015/03/21/lewis-hamilton-buys-potent-ferrari-laferrari/This is is the gorgeous beast... So, a complete media silence on Lewis' contract. I think we can safely say it has been signed and sealed and in historic Merc fashion, the confirmation will be delivered at a precis time that suits them and serves a purpose. This is exactly what happened with Nico last year. The media have backed off as they know they are now in 'fubar' territory were they to print any speculation before the announcement.
I think we are looking at a possible 5 year WDC/WCC lock down, 3 years minimum with options. Lets hope F1 survives that long, I can see Merc shipping in the driver who proves to be the best of the rest to replace Nico and to keep the competition and interest. I am not convinced about Ricc or Bottas and have a feeling it could be Verstappen, Nasr, Sainz or Wherlein
On another note, Lewis could end this season with the 2nd highest wins, Seb and Senna are easy targets and Prost is possible with 18 races left
This is the kind of stuff that will make the season fun, unless you are a boycotter in which case stocks of vaseline will run dry, and we will see some very entertaining attacks on the Champion and his team.
Lets see if there are any spectators left after 19 straight wins hehe

It's a different sort of pressure this season....wondering at what point of this season will Lewis become the most winning-est driver on the grid.

I'm going with 14. As for the future with Mercedes AMG, I think it's bright and yes, I can see the team setting itself up for future Champions by replacing Nico at the end of his contract. By then, Lewis will only have another two to three years that he will want to continue so having a Verstappen to replace Rosberg makes good sense. He is a proper racer to groom until Lewis leaves. Such fun!

So many variables. I'm going to go for the 10~12 range. 19 races now that there's no German circuit.

I'll go for 14. (rofl)Ever the optimist. And to replace Nico, should the need arise. Hmmm on current form Im drawn to Nasr. Of Verstappen And Sainz I need to see more, but Feel my instincts go definately towards Verstappen. Wherlein looks the real deal and I'd love to see how Jan Mardenborough goes in an F1 car. He's an outside bet for me. I think this generation will leapfrog the current second tier drivers.
