So Ferrari = Ferrari Haas = Ferrari Junior Sauber Romeo = Ferrari Baby? Surely Sauber are Ferrari's runt of the litter that they have to help out again

Glad to hear this news from Sauber today. They need not only the cash infusion but the promise of long term stability. To be behind Manor today when they began the new regulations in a leading midfield position shows how far their slide has taken them. A high profile, high support engine deal with Honda would be a logical next step to pursue IMO.

Honda Power for 2018And so there will finally be a 2nd Honda team on the grid for 2018. Sauber feel that a 2018 spec Honda is better than a year old Ferrari. Now we can have 4 cars failing to make the grid

I couldn't have said it better myself. It's a shame she's leaving or being made to leave. In a time when F1 is trying to re-invent itself having a woman at a team principal, I believe should have been a cornerstone in the marketing machine of the sport's future.

High time, she has not been doing a good job there....you can see from her comments on drivers and how she handles media, not really a Peter Sauber protege.

Hard to do much when 90% of your time is spend trying to acquire funding. They're ripe for a purchase and and her exit may be the first indication of that being already in the works.

Things that make you go hmmm.... with the will they or won't they Honda/Sauber partnership, Honda's junior driver Nobuharu Matsushita is being reported as having gotten a seat on the second day of the upcoming testing.

Absolutely insane decision for a team in need of funding. Honda would have offered them an amazing price, probably not far off what they are paying right now for 2016 engines. Given Vasseur is ex Renault, how long till THAT partnership is announced?
