I cannot believe Hollande told the people of France they had to get used to Islamic terrorism . To a frightened and grief stricken country. His motorcade was booed as it drove into Nice. And today the prime minister was also booed.

I guess everyone's heard the host of recent terrorist attacks. It's sadly becoming the norm to wake up to.
Massive death toll in Kabul.
Stabbing on a German train
Mother and daughter in France attacked with knives ( due to their clothing)
80 year old priest killed in France
In the wake of Nice, Germany have increased security on the border with France, and France has increase the security on its border with the U.K. ( probably all borders)
The result in the Uk has been 12 hr queues for the channel ferries as the French border control can't cope. The home office have sent Uk staff to help the French out.
I realise channel queues are nothing compared to the loss of life that has occurred, was just pointing it out .

Haven't posted on this thread for a while because there are attacks everywhere. But today one really hit home because she was from a small town very near where I live. A beautiful bubbly young girl travelling the world. She was only 21, life ahead of her. And some maniac shouting Ali Akhbar ( or whatever it is they shout) killed her. www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-37171751

Fearing more global unrest as the situation in the middle east muddies with Trump, a hawkish US, Israel and Russia all continuing to pull for their interests without any desire for a long term solution.
The US is number one in weapons sales globally.

A bit off topic but suggestion at the end of the article that the current situation arose from what Bush and Blair did. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38497767And if Trump is put in a similar bubble created by the people around him who knows what could happen?

The reality bubble surrounding Trump based on the cabinet he's put together will make us long for the Bush era.

From the little ive seen of his cabinet it looks a bit scary. And what he might have in the closet doesn't bear thinking about.

Not a terrorist attack, but rioting in Paris. It's not being shown on MSM .

Wondering if you guys heard about this. Funny that Trump didn't even mention it other than as a justifiable reason why we needed his Muslim ban.

No didn't hear that one. I did hear that 50 Muslims ( described as moderate Muslims) were killed at prayer in Pakistan. Killed by Isis who claimed they were infidels . I don't understand why Obama didn't put Pakistan on his ' dangerous country ' list.
Back in Paris, the riots continue and have spread from the suberbs to the city and are very close to the Eurohub. Tourist now advised to keep away from the area. It's now the third day of rioting and Still not a peep on the BBC.

I don't understand why Obama didn't put Pakistan on his ' dangerous country ' list. That's one I can answer. Because Pakistan (the government) is not a state sponsor of terrorism. Saudi Arabia on the other hand... but that wasn't on the list either.

Yes, I would have expected Saudi to be on that list too.

You would do yourself a world of favor racechick if you approached this as not being about terrorist and it being entirely about money and power. It will give you an entirely new perspective from which to look at things. Who profits.

I'm not totally stupid. I didn't say terrorists, I said 'dangerous country list'. I understand why Saudi wasn't put on the list even though the 911 terrorists came from there. Obama sold them arms, and so did the UK. And look what's happened to Yemen.
The whole mess of the Middle East is the meddling West. We probably wouldn't have ISIS without Bush and Blair. And why no meddling in Africa? Why no bombs flattening Muslim countries there? Oil. But the fact is we now do have terrorists as a result of this. And it's completely destabilised Europe. Lots of chickens coming home to roost.
