We're very caught up with overtaking in the sport. A great defense makes (IMO) for the best racing. This one never gets old. I have to admit, In cases like this one that you posted Hamilton showed all season that he was way faster than Vettel The fact that Hamilton was constantly and consistently on the back of the Vettel especially in the wet shows how much faster Hamilton was than Vettel, if I remember rightly Hamilton pulled away over a second a lap after getting in front and went on to get the win. Wasn't 2005 the year when a shit likes of cars got disqualified at spa? and if I'm not mistaken Hamilton won pretty much all the races except like 4 or so. It was annihilation.

Equal machinery, the thing is though despite the tongue in cheek effort on my part here, what you remember about some battles like Bahrain in 2014 is that there attempt to overtake was defended against. My point being that a good defense is every bit as exciting as a skilled overtake.

I wouldn't like the majority of the drivers I've supported over the years were I to judge them by the things they did outside the grid. This guy off the grid is a likeable guy.

I blame Red Bull and McLaren and Ferrari for being lousy unprepared and frankly getting it wrong. Mercedes did what any big German automotive juggernaut would do. The fans didn't leave in 2011, 2012, 2013. Why now?

What the SkySports idiots TWEETED is very different to the heading of the article.
This is what Vettel actually said.
"The dominance of Mercedes in the past two years took away a lot of excitement for the fans," Vettel said in a Q&A on his website.
"The new rules focus too much on details. Today the car plays an important role, like it did in the past, but we shouldn't get lost in overcomplicated rules. Our audience has to be able to identify with our cars again. At the moment F1 is just too complex and we're lacking sound.
"I think we have to be careful not to lose the roots of motor racing and I certainly hope the cars of the future will be more within their grasp."
_____________________________________________________________
Compare that line and with what was tweeted, typical clickbait crap. Mercs dominance definitely have taken a lot of excitement away for non Merc fans, just like RBs did during their years for the likes of us who wanted to see proper racing but couldn't since Webber always had a KERS system made in a primary school project in his car.

But how is the last two years dominace any less exciting than the previous two of Redbull....? umm... don't know, But even someone like me who follows F1 closely but not quite the hardcore level of all you guys on this forum, But F1 has become too predictable and more so than the Red Bull years. So for me personally it has become a little more boring for me over the last 2 seasons unless your a Merc/Lewis fan then its happy days and long may the domination roll on for you. Last 2 seasons and Merc have 32 wins out of 38 and that could be easily 36 out of 38 if it wasn't for mishaps and errors here and there. Its really only Singapore 2015 where Merc didn't show up. So Merc have been mighty and well done to them but it hasn't been great spectacle especially for fans of the sport that ain't at a hardcore level. Anyway seen the Schumacher years and manage to survive that, I'll survive the few more years of Merc domination as well.

But how is the last two years dominace any less exciting than the previous two of Redbull....? It isn't....it should be more exciting for proper racing fans since Mercedes offers both drivers equal opportunity. But I'm just pointing out Vettel said something which is at least close to the truth, it's not as bad as the title makes it out to be.

It's remarkable how nice a guy Vettel is out of the race car, but in a race car... Diva!
Was looking for the radio messages and couldn't find them but did read this commentary. It sums it up nicely.

I heard the radio message in the race and had the exact same thoughts as both Brundle and Croft.

With all the Lewis chumminess after the race in Canada, you'd think that Vettel is auditioning for Mercedes. Look at me Toto, Look at me Niki, I'm German you know.

Its not a meme granddad. Its just an infopic stating a fact, published by the official F1 twitter account - unless you are accusing them of trolling?
