If I tag him along, I'll start to believe him, you know what I'm like. I'll think it's real and feel mean. Like I feel mean if I walk past beggars.

You should respond. Tag him along, make him think he is being successful. I do that with the phone calls, it's so do fun fucking with the scammers who say they're from Microsoft and my computer had some serious security problems! It's too easy to fuck with them.

Hammer - you need to be using more hashtags in your tweets. You seem to do it in some tweets, but I would say you need at least 1 or 2 htpt (hashtag per tweet). Something pertinent to the tweet. Its another stream for people to find you.

Its another stream for people to find you. Yes I fully agree. Like I said, its like a new language to me. I just find it hard to incorporate those things all the time....like what if I do something #stupid and put it #where it doesn't #belong?

If you're tweeting about something financial just put #finance. If it's about buying and selling gold put # goldprices. #money #investments .
Make the hashtag fit the audience you want to reach because that's what they'll search on. Obscure hashtags are fun but won't attract so many people.
I generally put the hashtags at the end, but if the word you want to hashtag is actually in your tweet, put the hashtag there.
If I was doing one about Brexit, off the top of my head, I might do something like this.....
Despite warnings of doom and gloom from #Remainiacs, UK #economy continues to rise and the low pound aids British based companies. #Glaxo #Brexit

If you're using twitter for business then do the following!
1) Make a creep account - Basically, you make a random account @iloveryry for example and do NOT follow, tweet or anything from this account. Go to account settings > security and make it as anonymous as possible by unchecking discoverability, tweet location, do not allow anyone to add me and most importantly and protect the account by making sure "Protect my tweets" is checked. Now you go to that accounts "Lists" section and make a few lists and add the accounts of competitors or accounts of interest/suspicion. They won't know you've added them to these lists and you can now creep on them.
2) Go to tweetdeck.twitter.com and create an account/link an account.
3) Now click on "Accounts" and add your main accounts, make sure you check "Confirmation Step" as it stops you from making so many mistakes
4) Remove any columns you don't want but I would highly recommend having Mentions and Messages for ALL accounts and include all of your lists. It's wise to make one list on your creep account for your own accounts like "Hammer Group" which you can then add as a column inside tweetdeck.
Now as long as you leave the tab open (I turn of tweetdecks sound) it will essentially "record" all tweets, so even if the person deletes the tweet you will still see it up until you refresh the page. I use the scheduled tweets feature on tweetdeck quite a lot, it's handy when certain tweets need to be made at specific times.
There are quite a few other programs / sites / extensions that are like tweetdeck but more powerful, some cost and some are fre. It's worth trying them as and when you get more and more into twitter as it's a very good way to get clients.
As for the hashtags, do NOT overdo them. Don't do tweets like: Get #help with your #computer #free while I have #time #SignUp #Today at bit.ly/foiewrjw #24/7 #computer #linux #windows #mac as they are way to broad and there are just too many.
RC gave some good examples, except I wouldn't use #money. I'm sure there are some better ones like #MoneyManagement (just making that one up but it is probably used)

Thanks RC. I looked over it, I think I come closest to doing 6 at times...the rest, no I think it's fairly common sense. Oh about 4, I don't know what the hell that is.

Less people are dropping off now even though I don't follow back....cuz I drop every new follower a small line saying "thanks for the follow!" and I think it creates that little personal touch.

Yeah good idea.
I don't know what the lists things are, sounds like too much complication. I guess it's if you want to keep some tweets just for family and friends and the rest for everyone. Too much hassle!

My network of accounts have 150,000+ legit followers, my personal account has 49k followers (48,000 are fake) as it was used for testing "stuff"
I do not do #1 in that list, although we are thinking about doing it occasionally.

YAHOO I JUST GOT 1/10th of RCs number of followers!!!!!
100 followers in about 3 months, is this a fair pace? I think I can speed up the rate once the main website is up and we can offer free promos like t-shirts, etc for future milestone number of followers.
