They look boring. They don't look like racing cars. I can see what you're getting at . But I wouldn't watch that and it wouldn't make me buy one. I don't think the top ( after F1) racing drivers would go in them either.

I don't think the top ( after F1) racing drivers would go in them either. I get that, by why try and forge a path along the F1 lineage? Why not build their own path especially given that it's an entirely new technology and where the world will be headed in the next decade. You really thing that Renault is ugly??? It's one of the baddest assed hot hatches I've ever seen!

I didn't say it was ugly, I said boring. Boring as in a car I'd want to watch racing. As a car to own it's fine, I quite like it. I think most ordinary road cars are boring to watch race. I've driven a mini on a race track, really fast with a racing driver coaching me, it was brilliant! But I wouldn't want to go and watch minis racing on a track. I like them to look like real racing cars. Oh and why don't Formula E have to have that stupid halo on ?

Because they don't go fast enough Formula E works as a draw card, however I do agree that it should have either used an electric stock car, or gone electric sports car.. something that you can go and buy a version of. Like Nascar (sort of) and V8's and touring cars etc. Don't forget, there are just 13 short years till France & UK ban the sale of all petrol & diesel cars. That's 13 years for a manufacturer to showcase they have the best looking, best performing electric racer out there.

Definitely not my type of car. I've always loved the full sized sedans and old muscle cars. I like the long sleek look in a road car. The smaller sized vehicles just don't do it for me. If I lived in the US I'd probably have bought and be rebuilding this model.

Because they don't go fast enough I was waiting for that!! You guys probably wont be interested.....but here is an article on how the E cars have developed over the three seasons. The chassis tyres, battery are all the same but teams can develop their own power train, and all bar two teams have gone their own way with the power train. Some have built on the year 1 power train supplied by McLaren, others in a different direction. www.fiaformulae.com/en/news/2016/october/insight-how-the-cars-have-changed/These cars could easily go faster. It's the FIA who placed a speed limit on the series.

Omygod! Last but one FormulaE race in Canada. Last race is tomorrow, Buemi who was leading got a grid penalty and started about 12th then dropped to 16th , pulled up to 4th but loads of drama and after the race Buemi was slagging off everyone! Having a go at them in the pitlane. What an arsehole! I really hope Di Grassi wins and not him!

Anyways had to find this Buemi tirade that has been talked about. Think i might put more effort to watch more of these e-prix races. So much drama, divebombs and divas in FE, Screw F1 i'm looking forward to the next FE season

the best bit about FE is the crunching sound of carbon as they touch You can almost see the money being swept into the bin!

I'll never get tired of watching that Buemi clip, swear it gets funnier everytime. There's only one thing missing from this racing category and its Pastor Maldonado, he'll fit in perfectly.

Formula E Season 4 is not too far away, but all eyes are surely on Season 5 at the end of next year! With new manufacturer teams coming in, the biggest change will be the car. This is the "concept" pic from Spark (the company tasked with making the Season 5 chassis), and word from the secret testing in Rheims is that it's pretty close! Albeit, with a Halo rather than windshield. The battery is being designed by McLaren Technologies and will last a full race (so no more swapping cars) with the race output increased to 200KW and qualifying to 250KW. I'm actually looking forward to another motorsport!

Nissan will replace Renault next season. They should probably rely on the structure e.Dams, partner of Renault.

Say what you like about engines.. but I think the Formula E cars look so much better than F1/Indy/Other Open Wheel cars
And next season will look even better!
Congrats go to Sam Bird (As seen in the Video) for taking out Race 1 and Round 1 in Hong Kong.
