They suggested it may have been an anaesthetic pumped through the air conditioning but experts are skeptical. Yet they said the place was ransacked, so surely they would have woken up?? And also surely Jessica would have been wearing her engagement ring? So if not anaesthetised would have felt it being removed? Very odd, but very horrible thing to happen to them. Jessica must be reakly upset about the ring.

Maybe they just did a really potent fart into the air vent ? Knocked them out that way ?

She might not be wearing it. Not all women wear the engagement rings after marrying. Or she might take it off to sleep, in fear of giving Jenson an eye injury due to the size of the stone.
OR..... It's an inside insurance job that they are in on, because Jenson has a really bad drug habit. - and he has spent all of his overinflated wage on e's and whizz.

Obviously the incident was traumatic and we wouldnt wish it on anyone, especially Jessica losing her bling.
Something odd about this alleged gassing though as apparently it hasnt been confirmed by cops yet everyones running around with the story.
Its the second time Button has been robbed by sophisticated villains abroad, it was at gunpoint in Brazil IIRC last time.
Jokes aside tho, it probably doesnt help when you are known for complaining about your missing balance all the time, maybe some crooks assume its a bank balance and dont want to be left out

Apparently not many people are convinced about Buttons robbery details.
In true Jenson style, it could be the lamest robbery ever

Well it worked for James Hunt, it works for Jenson Button and it works for Kimi Raikonnen, but it doesn't work for Lewis Hamilton. Hmmmm that's a tricky one. Let's think about this... Doesn't work if you're the very best driver? Doesn't work if you come from a working class background? (nah kimi and Jens might fit that criteria) Doesn't work if you live it up a bit? ( hang on, they've all done that ...except Lewis) Doesn't work if you get into a good team early? ( oh ...Kimi did that) Doesn't work if you have your dad hanging around the paddock? ( oh ...no , Jens did that! ) Doen't work if you're a tax exile? ( oh......no, Jens did that! ) Doesn't work if you ...........well I'm running out of suggestions here. OH HANG ON!!!! LIGHT BULB MOMENT!!!! you need to have blonde hair and blue eyes and it works!

Yup, you need to be 'disturbing' to a certain generation of old chaps with 'traditional' interests that are best discovered fully after they kick the bucket. And if not the BBc can always protect and cherish them
The only fly in the ointment for these 'quirky' old guys with young hairstyles is that those paying the money for the sport seem to prefer watching the best drivers instead of being convinced via the media that the lame and willing driver with kneepads and excuses is baby Jesus

Typical, the Button steak dinner crew are on the job to create a false image of button.
The fact is that until the date for McLarens option lapses (this month sometime) Button cannot go anywhere, he is on contract, if they decide to exercise the option he has to stay or buy himself out
After the option date, if they dont confirm him, only then can he walk. Last year they didnt confirm him, he hung around, and effectively they ripped up the old option and gave him a new contract on lower money. If they execise their option to retain him they would have to increase his salary, so they will let the option lapse and then decide if he is worth peanuts for a new 1 year contract
Button aint deciding if he stays, McLaren are deciding if they keep him as the have the right to exercise, if Button 'decides' to leave it will only be after Mclaren reject his sorry lame duck arse - which they will do, an he will hang around lik a hung dog weaping and bawling his eyes out yet hanging on shamelessly like a lame duck waiting to be put down

I was wondering if he'd move to another team, Lotus even should they be looking for a driver to replace Maldonado. He'd be looking to reach the rarified 300 GP starts mark and he needs another season to get there.

He's looking to hold a record before he retires. 329 race starts, overtaking the great Rubens Barrichello.

I doubt that will factor into Ron's thinking, 'let's give the chap a shot at a record, let's keep him on another year.'
It might factor into Jenson thinking, and to him asking for a lower salary to stay. Or going back of the grid on a low salary.
Oh hang on, he is back of the grid.

They are in talks - so Ron has told him they are not exercising his option for the next year, but at the right price he is sure they will come to an arrangement. Same as last year, its best for Ron to keep Button motivated for as long as possible, no point telling him now that he is not under consideration for a new 1 year contract. So Button is suddenly singing Mclarens praises, he doesnt want to go anywhere else, he loves the team etc etc etc And Ron can keep his options open string Button along then hit him with an insultingly low offer near the end of the season when Button has no place to go, which he absolutely doesnt anyway The (Jenson) Bottom line is that they are negotiating/having talks, which means they are not resigning him as part of last yars contract, and Jenson has not walked but 'is confident'because Ron has reassured him
