I think he means if you put him in the same car as Hamilton with Whitmarsh as the TP Lewis would not have quite as much confidence as he has today.

Just shows his true character, as if Barichello, Perez or Magnussen would mention Button as a driver they would least like to be up against

Jenson thinks the high altitude in Mexico affected his Honda engine more than others engines......... Button said he believed Honda had lost out more than its rivals from the high altitude of the Mexico City circuit. "We've lost more power here than most with the altitude for some reason," he said. "I don't know why; normally you'd think it would bring everyone closer together but it really hurt us here." m.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121619I'm working on a new thread. It's called 'EXCUSES, by Jenson Button' I may need a few days to gather all the information. But stand by for this scintillating new read!!

That's a pretty valid reason though RC, it would have 100% affected them more than others

Do you think so RyRy? Has Jens hit on a real and genuine excuse? Now you've made me feel like a real meanie. I still might do that thread though.

The point of a Turbo is that it can force more air in. Even in a high altitude environment. That's why a lot of WWII aircraft went with turbos or superchargers later on, so they could gain a higher ceiling. The fact that McHonda's turbo was imapacted more screams of a fundamental capacity issue which is what Honda have been suspecting all along. In their push towards a size 0 that's been touted so much, they compromised on the engine size (in this case the turbo) and it came back to bite them in the ass big time.
You'd have thought that McLaren would have learned from Ferrari's mistake the previous year but they didn't. Look at the silver lining, Jenson has nothing to do with the cause of the excuse, he's just the messenger.

What an idiot. 'WE' who does he mean 'we' ?
He had the same car as Lewis and he was just a hindrance. He lost the 2012 championships, both championships, by his inability to get in and drive a fast car.
Arsehole.
And the same goes for Alonso ( though he has the sense to show respect to Lewis and not mouth off) in the same car the rookie Lewis beat him.
So who is this 'WE' that would beat Lewis in the same car?

Button is busy playing silly games with Alonso, his biggest goal is in sight - finishing ahead on points, so he reckons this means he is a match for Alonso in everyones eyes and therefore on the same level as Seb. Hence the reference to 'complete driver'

I'm thinking Rosberg would have been the 2009 WDC had he been in the Brawn, yes?

Put it this way, in 2009 despite Buttons Double diffuser Lewis got the same amount of poles, after the first 7 races, Button did not win another race, although his teammate Reubens, Lewis, Webber all got 2 wins, During the first 7 races Rebens didnt get pole or win, Button won from pole in almost each race After those first seven races Reubens finally got his brakes changed After those first 7 races Button did not get pole although his teammate did After those first 7 races Button did not win although his teammate did twice After those first 7 races Reubens beat him on points
Its safe to say Rosberg would have crushed him in qualifying and would therefore have crushed him over the whole season - Button didnt even have competition from his own teammate in the first 7 races - thats the only reason he won

The duck is growing in lameness, he now believes he is has actually competed against Alonso and Hamilton for WDCs and not for meaningless scraps hahaha, like they were both challenging him for anything meaningful like a WDC like he would be holding on and not getting overtaken and left for dust by either driver This duck is purely delusional, forgetting that Alonso has gone forward on track mostly whereas he stays at the back and gains when others drop out Yeah right everyone suddenly is really thinking the points difference changes the fact Alonso is on a different skill and pay level its incredible, just like he thinks 6 races in a car 2 seconds faster than everyone else makes a credible title he thinks outscoring others by cruise and collect when there is no title at stake makes anyone think he would have a chance against even Rosberg
