I've heard some speculation that Lewis may, before he ends his F1 career, give Ferrari a whirl. It may be just speculation, but let's go with it. A few years down the line, a couple more championships to his name, and Lewis gets an offer from a competitive Ferrari. Why would Ferrari do that? Vettel may have imploded with rage, retired, not come up with the goods. Max Verstappen is tied up at another competitive team, and he's a big threat. Lewis is still delivering regularly. So it's a no brainer from Ferrari's point of view. Lewis, with retirement in mind would like to add a Ferrari world championship to his portfolio. So let's assume that happens. Where would you sit with that?
Me first. I'm a driver supporter first and foremost. So as long as Ferrari could offer a competitive drive I'd have no problem with it. Competitive drive that is, not rigged drive as they gave Schumacher. But I doubt Lewis would accept that anyway. So I'm fine, and I like red clothes.
There are the majority of Ferrari fans, reasonable, objective, like our Liam Catterson . Surely they would be happy to have a great driver drive for them? I think they would.
There are those who can't ever forgive Ferrari for the unfair advantage they so often engineered in the past. What would those people do if they were Lewis supporters?
Then we come to the fourth group. The group who've lost touch with reality, foregone objectivity and nailed their colours to the mast. The mast of ' Lewis can do no right, Ferrari can do no wrong' . What would happen to this poor group as they tied themselves in knots. Would they dump Ferrari? Or dump their hatred of Lewis? Which way would they sell their souls? It would be intriguing to watch.
there are of course also, the non aligned. Those who support neither Hamilton it Ferrari. They either support other teams and drivers or just enjoy the F1 spectacle without favouring any team or driver. I wonder how this group would view the situation?
So over to you. How would you feel if Lewis ended his F1 days at Ferrari?
But you know, I always thought that. I always thought he'd go full circle and finish where he began, back with McLaren......and claim that beautiful orange car that Ron promised him. But now Ron's gone I'm not so sure. And I don't know if the deal with the car went when Ron went.
( WB, that video doesn't work. Just two little squares at the top left, then just one of those video arrows to click but nothing happens. No picture at all. Most likely my IPad )
I said back in the that he'd return just like MacArthur to the Philippines. He'll buy them out at this rate, part owner driver, they wouldn't have to pay him a salary for 25% stake of the F1 team.
Be cool if he did. But I believe he's said when he finishes driving he won't hang around in the F1 arena. He wants to move on to a new chapter in his life and do something completely different.
“A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.”
I think he's the only one who's one a championship in more than two different teams, and it's a massive FIVE teams.
There are a lot on two teams.
Unless ive missed any I don't think any others are on more than two teams. But I guess not that many have won more than two championships, and those that have, have had two with the same team.
Thats F1 championships, so since 1950

This thread just made me wonder, what's the record number of teams a driver has won championships with?
The most WDC's with different Constructors is Fangio - 1951 (Alfa Romeo), 1954 (Maserati for first 3 races, Mercedes for rest of the season), 1956 (Ferrari), 1957 (Maserati). He won in 1955 driving solely for Mercedes.
The most WINS for different Constructors is Sterling Moss - Mercedes, Maserati, Vanwall, Cooper, Lotus.
The most WINS for different Engines is Fangio - Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Mercedes, Ferrari Moss - Mercedes, Climax, Maserati, Vanwall Berger - Ferrari, Honda, Renault, BMW Lauda - Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, TAG Porsche, Ford Cosworth
I thought I read somewhere recently that Lewis would like to have a spell at Ferrari before he retires. Pretty much all F1 drivers do, it's a history thing. Ferrari also love history, and would sign Lewis in an instant if the right circumstances arose; they like to collect former WDC drivers on their roster.
Anyway, I think if he did end up there, you would find Ferrari fans / Lewis haters do what they do best; forget everything that ever happened and talk about how they dreamed of this moment and that he's the best driver ever.

They'd also somehow remember Lewis winning at least a couple of his championships and setting many many of his records while driving for Ferrari.
When you are torn between choices, always pick the one that will make the best story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well of course, I mean... was he REALLY that good before joining Ferrari? I think, looking back in 5 years, we'll all agree that Ferrari made him into the Champion of Champions.... and were they were just waiting for him to come and restore their glory after failures from Alonso and Vettel!!!
I remember supporting Kimi at Ferrari that one year, simply because I felt McLaren let him down very badly and he didn't deserve to retire without any Championships. So yeah that 1 year I was definitely supporting 1 car at the team.
But Lewis has had what he set out to get, 3 crowns, if he moves to Ferrari unfortunately I'd be hoping his car breaks down every GP lol.
2019 - The year Mercedes knocks Ferrari off their perch.

Same opinion. I dont mind about the team as long as he has a winning car and good people around him, inside the team like at Mercedes. I will not tolerate a wrong strategy and strategists who can't notify a slow puncture while other teams noticed such issues on pressure telemetry.
