They don't like Verstappen cos he doesn't give a shit and he kicks red arse! NO Hammer , it wasn't a person who admitted ANYTHING good about Hamilton in any way shape or form. Try this...... Lives in cloud cuckoo land; talks Bullshit; has no knowledge or understanding on which to base a discussion but argues the toss endlessly anyway. Now add a liberal sprinkling of hypocrisy. And there you have it. Hmm so it could be anyone of those cuckoo clocks I recall spankyham/sagi/or that new weirdo, boosty or smth in that other dead forum.

Yup very disrespectful.
The paradoxe is there's an amphitheater right next to COTA on the inside of turns 16 to 18. Good job Liberty Media.

They better clean the track well. I will not tolerate any puncture because of uneducated human beings.

This Verslappen guy, I've gone from disliking him to loving him. Bet Whinerarri will be whining about that one as well.

Lewis supreme. Look where Bottas was again. Lewis is winning this , saying it's just the car is nit the case. It's Lewis making the difference.
Max was stunning.

Hamilton - Controlled the race nicely and made the move when he needed to to win the race. Vettel - Surprising how slow he was towards the end of each stint, he was going through his tyres a lot. He actually slowed up to try and help Raikkonen down the straight on the last lap. Bottas - Mercedes messed up with him, if they had pitted him before Vettel he would have come out ahead or at least along side Vettel and forced Vettel to pit earlier; either way it was a win win for Hamilton but they never did it instead they gave him a bad strategy. He certainly put up a fight with Ric. Raikkonen - Very fast at times and drove decently, lots of respect for giving up the place to Vettel again. Verstappen - Decently fast, good strategy that forced Ferrari to pit and protect. The penalty was a slam dunk. He clearly went over the track limits and gained an advantage, no question about it.Ricciardio - Decently fast, he drove well shame about his engine Sainz - Great drive by Sainz, matching the Force India's is impressive. Good job. Kvyat - I wonder if there are some differences between Kvyat's old car (one Brenden was using) and Sainz's car because he's been much faster than he normally is in the toro rosso and that's been consistent all weekend. Alonso - He was impressively fast again, the Honda engine is improving and that chassis is really quite good!

Can't agree with you about Verstappen RyRy. It was marginal where he went over and other drivers did it throughout the race. Stewards spoilt the finish to a fantastic piece of racing.

Looking back at the Sky Pad I think the stewards had no choice, Kimi was on the racing line and Verslappen went all 4 wheels off track which forced Kimi to move away. In a way, you could argue he 'came back on track dangerously' with Kimi needing to take evasive action.
I wish he kept the podium spot but it wasn't a legal move.

Yeah, very selective enforcements there. Had it not been a Ferrari he overtook, it would have all been good and good for the sport to have a new wonderkin. But...
Ferrari had massive egg on its face having had Raikkonen give up his 13 second lead up for Vettel and then losing third stop to a driver in a lesser can who's head an shoulders above him. FiA indeed.
Anyway, back to business, 66 point lead with 75 points on the table. Yes.

Can't agree with you about Verstappen RyRy . It was marginal where he went over and other drivers did it throughout the race. Stewards spoilt the finish to a fantastic piece of racing. It was very very clear on the footage that he went beyond the track limits and ultimately that cutting the track is what gave him the 3rd place, that is gaining an advantage by going beyond the white line. All 4 tyres were clearly over the lines. I race on Project Cars, F1 2xxx and other racing games and if I was to do that on the games, I would instantly get a slow down warning (ignore = penalty) or a penalty depending on the game but if track limit penalties are disabled I could easily do this exact move that Verstappen did to get positions comfortably every race. The issue with this move is that you often lose some traction and go a little wide thus anyone on your outside would be pushed off or bumped off the track, it's also a dangerous move because you lose traction on the kerb (hence you going wide) and sometimes the kerb can cause you to spin or go well wide which would have taken Raikkonen out. If you don't move away (Kimi did) you risk being bumped off the track and there is always a shit ton of pickup on the left. It's a no no move in racing. Yes. Indeed they did have selective enforcement however if we look at all of the incidents pretty much all of them was the defining driver running wide rather than the attacking driver, it's much harder to tell if the person in front gained an advantage. If we look at Bottas he did it in turn 1 and 12 he was essentially pushed wide by Ricciardio which is different and widely accepted as fair in racing, the driver behind will still have the advantage because now the car ahead will have dirty tyres.

I haven't seen all of the camera angles, and I haven't seen what others have done, I don't have enough info on the penalty that led to the podium fiasco and I certainly don't have any skin in the game, but purely putting myself in the position of an observer; Egg on the face of Liberty Media, egg on the face of the FiA and egg on the face of the sport to call in a guy as he was about to step on the podium.
IMO this could have been handled so much better from a PR standpoint. Let the decision be made afterwards, the way they have done for other things many times in the past, let the crowds go home, and then give Kimi guy his third place finish tomorrow.
I can imagine people having a look trying to figure this F1 thing out going... :wtf:
I know there's the well Kimi should be allowed to celebrate his podium finish, but IMO the embarrassment of poor cuckold Kimi having to "celebrate" his accomplishment under the circumstances. No.

Actually I found this video as I was writing the post. Watching this, you get the sense the the sport should be encouraging it, not penalizing it.

I think what nailed it for him (the penalty) was the conscious move of all wheels inside the apex curbing. If he had just "bumped" right over it, then I think it would have been fine.
