It was one of the most exciting bits of racing we've had all season. It's what people want to see, wheel to wheel racing and the stewards killed it. Why weren't all the other drivers who left the track defending it attacking given penalties. Who was the steward? Webber said he was a jerk and had penalised him for something insignificant a couple of times in the past.
Max got a penalty point for that as well as losing his podium.
Theyre worried people are turning away from F1? Well They should stop doing stupid decision like that.

I think what nailed it for him (the penalty) was the conscious move of all wheels inside the apex curbing. If he had just "bumped" right over it, then I think it would have been fine. Exactly, he made the move while it was off track. It just looked much worse than it is because he was already up there ready for the podium....if this happened mid race they would've just told him to give the position back.

Hamilton needs one fifth place position in the next three races to clinch the title. Three races to finish in fifth or better place. It's not over until the fat Sicilian lady sings.

He must win 1 more to clinch the double digit victories for 3 consecutive years running, another first which has never happened in history.
So the pressure is still on.

Already has it: 2014 - 11 2015 - 10 2016 - 10 2017 - 9 so far he's the only driver to have 10+ wins in 3 separate seasons, let alone 3 in a row. 1 more race win will push that out to 4 in a row.

Pretty impressive is our lad isn’t he! I think he’s also the only driver ever to have won a race in every year he’s competed.

I think he’s also the only driver ever to have won a race in every year he’s competed. Yes, but with a notation. Lewis has won a race every season since debut (11th straight in 2017), but is still 4 seasons behind the record of 15 consecutive seasons with a win, currently held by Michael Schumacher.

Sainz cheated also but didnt overtake Ocon. If he had he would also have been penalized without a doubt like Max.

In fact I see a lot of people using this video trying to argue in favor of Verstappen but but that wasnt Ocon on this video, It was Perez and Carlos didnt cheat on that move because as dogued said all his wheels werent inside the apex curbing.
I think the FIA was right. Kimi did a super race and deserved that podium even if I was really excited for Max but this kid want to emulate Schumacher a bit too much lol.

Hamilton - Controlled the race nicely and made the move when he needed to to win the race. Vettel - Surprising how slow he was towards the end of each stint, he was going through his tyres a lot. He actually slowed up to try and help Raikkonen down the straight on the last lap. Bottas - Mercedes messed up with him, if they had pitted him before Vettel he would have come out ahead or at least along side Vettel and forced Vettel to pit earlier; either way it was a win win for Hamilton but they never did it instead they gave him a bad strategy. He certainly put up a fight with Ric. Raikkonen - Very fast at times and drove decently, lots of respect for giving up the place to Vettel again. Verstappen - Decently fast, good strategy that forced Ferrari to pit and protect. The penalty was a slam dunk. He clearly went over the track limits and gained an advantage, no question about it.Ricciardio - Decently fast, he drove well shame about his engine Sainz - Great drive by Sainz, matching the Force India's is impressive. Good job. Kvyat - I wonder if there are some differences between Kvyat's old car (one Brenden was using) and Sainz's car because he's been much faster than he normally is in the toro rosso and that's been consistent all weekend. Alonso - He was impressively fast again, the Honda engine is improving and that chassis is really quite good! Damn no words on Ocon who compromised smartly Perez race ala Hamilton on Rosberg ? Or he was really saving fuel ?

I've said it before, If I had to start a new young team, I'd pick Ocon and Sainz.

I remember that. And I responded you their collaboration would be very difficult in the same team.

I remember that. And I responded you their collaboration would be very difficult in the same team. Well unlike their respective team mates, these two guys could potentially respect one another. They fight hard but I think they both fight fair. It would have to be managed. In the end you don't see the full claws come out between teammates unless they've got a championship winning car under them. There's nothing really to fight for in the mid field to go ALL out.

Yeah you're right, I was facing one situation in my mind where they were fighting only for the title.

Hammer Can we talk about Magnussen a bit mister Hammer ? There is a lot of drivers, If their brains were right (psycho side and the way they see what racing is all about), they would have perform way better than they usually do. I also suspect some drivers to not work enough off the track on their weakness and to me they have no excuse, specially when you make the same mistake every grand prix weekend. They rich, healthy and powerful. They can have all they want to perform decently.

I've said it before, If I had to start a new young team, I'd pick Ocon and Sainz. I'd pick Ocon and Stroll. Ocon to bring the results, Stroll's daddy to keep my closing balance looking good for the first 2-3 years before the team get a couple of solid sponsors. And Stroll isn't too bad either.

I feel sorry for Magnussen. I think he could've been a solid driver, but McLaren ruined him and now he's frustrated at the back of the grid crashing away into others and taking it out on track. It's like the class bully who's got family problems back home, he's not a bad guy since he started out really well in McLaren next to that snake Button, and since he got shafted he's been lost at sea.
