FORMULA 1 GRANDE PRÊMIO HEINEKEN DO BRASIL 2017And on to Brazil, scene of many of Massa's greatest moments: WDC (for 15s), Retirement #1 announced, Retirement #2 announced..... Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton have wrapped up both championships, but there is still plenty to fight for further down the grid. * Bottas is 15 points behind Vettel for 2nd place in the WDC and will be looking to at least half that this weekend. * Stroll is 4 points ahead of Massa, who will be keen to exit F1 without being beaten by a rookie. * 6 points separate Torro Rosso, Renault, and Haas for P6-8 in the WCC. * Lewis Hamilton is chasing win number 10 to give him a 4th straight season of double digit wins. In other news, Ricciardo, Hartley, and Gasly are all facing grid drops for the weekend. With every driver in the field at or beyond the maximum elements, there is every chance more will join them following FP1/2/3.

With another free fast flowing curve track, what these cars were meant to do, I'm thinking we're going to see a pole lap in the low 68s. Call me crazy, I guess it all boils down to how dry the track will be in Q3.

All good! I was looking for those but f1.com only had text based that I could see.
and for the video I was going to post titled "Brazilian Pole" was TOTALLY NSFW! Gotta remember to put F1 in the search bar!

Watching FP3, the Soft compound is the compound for the weekend. The SS is simply not working here.

Well, that 1 big SCREW UP Lewis usually does per season has happened.
All hope on Bottas bringing home win #3 now.

He was a happy camper after the lap, good on Bottas, because I though Vettel had it as soon as I saw the rain light come on. Probably the lap of his career.

Good job Bottas! This could well be enough of a confidence booster to help him perform for the rest of this year and hopefully next year too!
Hamilton has confirmed that he will be starting from the pit lane with a new ICE, TC, MGU-H. We don't know if he requires a new chassis or not yet and I assume they will change the setup a little either giving him more downforce for the rain (if there is rain tomorrow) or remove some downforce so he can overtake.

First thing I thought of was that they'll optimize that car for the conditions whatever they may be. We'll see a nice race from him, don't think a win is possible unless there's rain which it's supposed to be bone dry and hot. A bit of a stress on the Renault PUs. I think Bottas is going to be accosted by the Ferrari duo but the Mercedes have pace this weekend. Bottas is 15 points shy of Vettel in the championship standings, I think Mercedes would love a 1-2 in the WDC, let's see if he can hold on.

How close to the race can they still make changes to the car? As in, what's the cutoff point when they have to leave the car alone.

He’s starting from pit lane so he has as long as the grid lines up after the formation lap.

Aww shucks man, that was an insane drive but I'm kinda disappointed at the end....for a while I thought Lewis could've won the thing and the podium was already on a plate.
And Valtteri....come on man. That car could've run a ring around those ugly reds today, Lewis clearly showed it.
