Hi Liam, Good to see you here....Ferrari are at the pointy end again...
Hi Everyone I haven't done an intro before, cos I don't know what to say.... I've been watching racing since I was a young kid, with older brothers that were into racing bikes, I went to Oulton park & TT Races. I loved Senna, Damon Hill but stopped watching F1 for years until Lewis Hamilton lit it up for me again. My nephew raced karts all over the UK & had a 5th in a race that Lewis won. I'm a fan of Kimi R, & I'm lovin Max Verstappen....& Danil Kvyat.. oh & Carlos Sainz...is sooooo good looking. I have argued for Lewis on several F1 sites..cos it really pees me off the way he has been imo ...stifled. I love speed .....imo there's nothing like sitting in the front of an aeroplane for take off....

Can you guys imagine what Ang and RC would be like in a room watching F1... A lot of comments about what drivers the best looking xD.
Ang that speed and rush in a plane is awesome I agree, it's the best part of a flight.

My brother spoke with AnthonyH at races & said that he hated his name being shortened to Tony or Ant.... I always intended to go to a meeting but never managed it.....if I'd known then, what I know now..... I just bought my brother a LH black cap for his birthday...he loved it... My nephew dd quite well but not well enough to move up the ladder...he is a bit younger than Lewis.

If you'd known then what you know now, you could have had LEWIS personally signed across the chest of all your T shirts!!!! Might have looked a bit pervy though, if you'd asked a thirteen year old to sign your chest ........several times

Hello all!
Just a little about myself, my name's Ben from Wiltshire I'm a mechanical design engineer by trade and have followed F1 since the mid 90's. Right through the Schumacher era, into the red bull and now the mercedes Times!
I'm massive Lewis fan,I love the fact he's his own man and has that maverick streak in him. Plus I love his balls out driving style and his pure approach to racing, no political race me fair stance.
I also follow Ricciardo, max vestappen, for the same reasons as above.
I also have a great appreciation for Henson button, I think he's a top bloke and could one day become a top F1 commentator
Cheers
Ben

A mechanical design engineer! Gulp. No hiding places now then when I say silly things on the technical front!. Great top three driver choices!!! My favs too. On Jenson........I'll just go quiet for a while Welcome. You will be a great addition to this forum with your technical background. I hope you enjoy chatting with us.

Cheers guys!
Currently on paternity leave from work so looking forward to getting a full weekend of f1 coverage in this weekend! In between the poop sick and changing!
No worries on the technical front I'm no guru just have a basic understanding of aero and car dynamics! My notes from my degree are in the loft! So please no mind twisting questions, my mind may melt!
I predict a close weekend between Mercedes and Ferrari and even Williams! Good to see Massa and bottas have stayed for another year btw.
Ben.

Why Hello Ben! Welcome. I hope to see some mechanical engineering points of view on everything Interesting, I actually think it will be another walk in the park for Mercedes, with Williams being slightly ahead of Ferrari for this race. Who knows!? Have fun changing those nappies!

Be interesting to see what the updated power units will bring to the show for Mercedes and Ferrari.
Mercedes are aiming at effiency gains through specific development of fuel and oils. Relatively minor changes but means they can push the PU's harder for longer. Extending their advantage over a racing stint.
I have no details on the Ferrari updates but I'm betting they are along the same lines!
