It's funny because looking around the interwebz, there's so much hate at the moment. The really bitter ones can't even bring themselves to post the results.

Vettel is just not good when it’s wet. Ok,he’s crap in the wet. But but but.... he won his first ever race in the wet! He MUST be a rain God! In truth, there are 3 type of drivers: Aquaman drivers; excel in all watery conditions no matter how bad the material. Royal Navy driver; Given the right equipment, perform excellently, but may struggle in a shoebox. Wicked Witch drivers; they melt in the wet.

Speaking of rain gods, Verstappen had nothing today. That Red Bull in the track that it was built to rule, today had nothing in the wet. Smells of Royal Navy to me.

I said in FP3 that Red Bull looked really unstable, they were on pace on Friday but on Saturday morning they were way off the pace, I'm pretty sure they went the wrong direction with setup overnight and messed up their car because this carried through into qualli as they had no stability at all.

This week apparently there's a new fuel for Verstappen, he's got the spec 2 PU. Ricciardo can't use it because he had to revert back to his spec 1 engine after last week's blow up.
I was also thinking about the starts, given Ferrari's magic system, wonder if an additional lap at the start would cause issues for them... say putting a car on the wrong grid spot so they'd have to go around one more time.

Dry race, yes?
That should make things interesting.

Is Mercedes aware that if a VSC happens now, it's an automatic Ferrari win?
I don't get some things they did this race. Bringing Hamilton in when he had a 6.5 second gap, and falling for Ferraris Kimi ruse. Who cared about Kimi, he'd be fucked at the end anyway....now Bottas is in the same boat.

Brilliant drive by Lewis! A shame Bottas couldn’t have held on , he did a great job till Vettel turfed him off again.

God Damn Seb Feel bad for Bottas.
And if anyone doubted RedBull's swap to Honda..... the Renualt power is such a let down on the reliability front.

Hamilton - Controlled the race nice and calmly, great drive.
Bottas - Great defensive start, worked perfectly with Hamilton to ensure they held onto 1st and 2nd into turn 1 which was essential. He did a great job holding back the Ferraris for so damn long! Good call from Mercedes telling him to let Ricciardio through after the incident.
Vettel - Could have given Bottas a tiny bit more room, as he didn't have anywhere he could go.
Raikkonen - Feel sorry for him... not allowed to overtake or attempt to overtake Vettel.
Ricciardio - Decent drive, just raced his own race smoothly and calmly. He should have been a little more aware that Bottas had damage but just unlucky.
Toro Rosso - That engine performs decently, well done Gasly that was a great race.
McLaren - Good recovery after a bad start/qualifying. Unlucky for that Vandoorne had a failure he was doing a good job sitting with Alonso.

What a wonderful win for Mercedes, with Ferrari having the quickest car all week end and supremely hot track temperatures. Mercedes struggling all year so far with that. Still manage to produce a commanding win. I can't even begin to comprehend how it all went wrong for them today and I'm sure there's going to be a lot of angry disbelief in the debrief room.
Bottas driver of the day IMO. Incredible how time and time again Vettel simply has no perception of anything behind his helmet when the desperation sets in, I can think of at least three times off the top of my head that he's done in within the last year. I laughed when Horner blamed Bottas for the incident, man that guy has a hardon for Mercedes.

I still can't believe how Crashtel didn't get a puncture for that one, that was such an impact and his tyre held. Goddamn it.

I can’t believe how some people think that crash was Bottas’ fault. Seen some hilarious comments. But then there are some very blinkered folk around. Did Vettel think Bottas had just disappeared? Is he that lacking in awareness? I guess he is.

I still can't believe how Crashtel didn't get a puncture for that one, that was such an impact and his tyre held. Goddamn it. The guy's got nine lives. Still remember the 2012 season when he was turned around with a gash on the side of his car at the start of the Brazilian GP and still finished the race with enough points for the championship.
