Okay. I’m at Bergamo, about 35 minutes from the track, And it’s pissing it down! Mixed reports for tomorrow. I’ve found a nice bar in Bergamo to watch quali, before venturing to the track on Sunday.

Hamilton - A very very good lap, to only be a tenth and a bit down is impressive. I expected Ferrari to be way further ahead. Bottas - You are so damn slow man! Should have given Hamilton a bigger tow! Vettel - Is pissed off because Raikkonen beat him. Vettel could have got the tow from Hamilton but he was too far back, his own fault. Raikkonen - I'm happy for him, great lap and a comfortable spanking! Stroll - Well done! Decent effort in the Williams! Toro Rosso - Impressive from the Honda engine! Red Bull must be looking forward to that engine. McLaren - Why so slow! Crowd - lmfao you are so damn salty, the booing of Hamilton was crazy. Grow up Tifosi!

Lewis has to just give it a big charge tomorrow and try and pass Vettel by the first corner no matter what, if it ends up in a crash with both out, so be it. It's one of those races, and situations.

That was actually one hell of an exciting Q3. Hamilton got as much out of that car as it could possibly give. Tomorrow's race though could be just like Spa. The first three laps and the first round of pit stops and nothing else in between.
We'll keep an eye on the Renault Spec 3 PU to see how it does.

Gonna be scary watching those first four cars, and I guess Max too, screaming down to the first corner. That’s where I’m sitting. 😬 Hide face time! Lewis did well, so well in quali. He’s amongst those Ferraris where his car really has no right to be. Anything could still happen in the race. Last time I was here watching I believe Kimi spun at the start? Three years ago if I’ve got that right. Lol, seems a lifetime away now. There is still rain about. Very black sky this evening and a shower or two. I know it’s a long shot, but that would be GREAT! ps. Vettel having a sulk because Kimi got pole www.telegraph.co.uk/formula-1/2018/09/01/f1-live-italian-grand-prix-2018-qualifying-latest-updates/

Ferrari in a commanding position, but great work from Lewis Hamilton to get as close as he did. Fantastic to see Kimi Raikkonen get a long overdue pole position, especially after his disastrous qualifying in Spa, but I doubt he'll be allowed to win tomorrow.
It'll be fun watching Daniel Ricciardo charge his way from the back... some of his best overtaking moves ever have been made into Turn 1 here.
Here's to a fun race.

Nice to see Kimi get pole.
Like to him get the win but Ferrari won't let that happen, unlike my F1 2018 career mode where Kimi dominates.

Kevin Magnussen: Fernando Alonso thinks he's a god and I can't wait for him to retire
"I'm going fast so I just cruised past him. But then for some reason he tries to accelerate and get close to me instead of creating a gap like everyone else is doing. Obviously he got a perfect slipstream and thought he could overtake into Turn 1, but I'd rather hang myself. "He thought he could have the perfect slipstream and overtake me and then gain. I'm not going to let him past me and sacrifice my own lap. No way. He thinks he's God, but no way."

So an easy Mercedes win, I’m sure everyone put Lewis down for the win right?

This was the Lewis factor. Yet again forced a dumbass mistake from Vettel and then outperformed the other faster Ferrari over the race distance. This guy is a freaking demon.

- Hamilton, sat on the back of Raikkonen for so damn long... raced smart and fast.
- Bottas, great wingman! He helped a lot by making sure he burnt out his tyres.
- Verstappen, left no space for Bottas and deserved the penalty. I hope he changes his view after he sees the replay.
- Raikkonen, I really wanted you to win but you burnt out your tyres at the start of the stint and then they got extra punishment behind Bottas. He could have won this race but it was his own mistake that ruined it for himself.
- Vettel, turn 3 was 100% his mistake. Hamilton left him enough room but he hit the kerb and understeered into Hamilton.
Sky Sports... what the fuck. Muting the boos when Hamilton walked out onto the podium!

I think Ferrari need to find another driver to lead that team, costly mistakes, not good enough, Be interesting what the Italian media feel about it all tommorrow. Merc has dead set stolen the victory from Ferrari, Well done Merc and Lewis.

Lol bunch of classless Tifosis... so happy Merc made so many of those clowns cry today. They were leaving the race early... that made my heart break.
What a race though. My prediction on the pool not quite right but I'll take the RL results over the fantasy. I do hope Vettel's red mist doesn't cause this exciting championship race to fall apart again as it's done in the past but what a boneheaded move yet still, lucky to spin and not lose it. How many times have we seen him spun at turn one facing the wrong direction and not only not DNF but come back into the high points, he's got 9 lives the guy.
Bottas a fantastic drive, defensive when he needed it, charging when he needed it and smart when he needed it. On the other hand, Verstappen is not only stupid, obstinate and dirty, he's not learning from his mistakes. Still young, but man it the kid thick.
Exciting race to say the least.
