I think most of you have seen this one, I'm posting it as a reminder. Its part one of the rise and fall of Red Bull. The second part Im just finishing writing and will try to post tomorrow. So this is part one......Red Bull 2013...
We beat you on the track
We may not have the glamour, the romance, the panache,
We may not have the road cars that shoot by in a flash,
But we’re not really bothered, we just don’t give a Jack;
‘Cos when it comes to racing, we beat you on the track!
We don’t have illustrious histories, in fact we’re very new.
But we’ve soon learnt to play the game, there’s not much we can’t do.
We’ve watched and learnt our lessons, now we’re leaders of the pack;
And when we go out racing, we beat you on the track!
We’re great at multi-tasking, let out driver run the team.
And if things don’t work out his way, perhaps you’ve heard him scream?
But when he’s being naughty, we don’t give him a smack;
‘Cos when he goes out racing, he beats you on the track!
We’re great at holding parties, the best on the grid,
You may think we’re not serious…Who you tryin’ to kid?
We enjoy the ambience, we like to have a crack,
And in between the fun times, we beat you on the track!
We’re a fizzy drinks company, our drinks keep you awake,
We are the butt of many a joke because of what we make,
But you can name call all you like, we can take the flack.
Because when we go racing, we beat you on the track!
You can hire the top designers, to try to chase us down,
One for this and one for that, we love to watch them frown.
But we’ve got Adrian Newey, and he’s really got the knack,
Of making F1 racing cars that beat you on the track!
We own this current era, we know how to win,
We’ve torn up the rule book and put it in the bin.
There’s major changes coming, and horsepower we may lack,
But would you really bet against us winning on the track?

Here's part two of the Red Bull story. Red Bull 2014/15. Maybe in the fullness of time this will become a Red Bull trilogy.
NO MORE
No more celebratory parties, Smiling faces, fun malarkies. No more being number one, Those glory days are now all gone Christian Horner’s changed his tune, Now his look spells doom and gloom.
No more condescending glances, At teams that didn’t take their chances. No more talk of poolside lounging, Lazy workers, always slacking. Christian Horner now sounds bleak, Every time you hear him speak.
“The rules aren’t fair”, you hear him shout As he throws his weight about. “Hey Ferrari, what can we do? These unfair rules affect you too. One team shouldn’t dominate, Change them before its all too late”
“Equalise! Equalise! Stop the Merc”, Horner cries. Helmut Marco’s in a spin, Doesn’t like not to win. Deitrich wants to sell the team, This was not the Red Bull dream.
Forgotten the four years of Bulls rampaging, Cock a hoop and feeling amazing. It was ok then to lead the way, Gathering trophies day by day. But now they seem to have lost the knack, Of always winning on the track.
No more flexing of the wings, No more tricks and magic things. No hot air on the blown diffuser, Red Bull’s now become a loser. No Vettel to wag his finger, No results on which to linger.
Christian Horner’s lost his cool, Ranting around, looking a fool. Didn't he learn when he went to school, A very important golden rule? Didn’t his mum tell him when he was small, That pride comes before a fall! by racechick Poet Laureatte at F1forum.org

On a walk a few weeks ago, I found words about Ayrton Senna tumbling round inside my head, I toyed with them , and put them on the back burner.Today,(yesterday) I felt compelled to dig them out, polish them off and try to make some sense off them. I wish I could do better justice to such a great man......
AYRTON SENNA
Ayrton Senna, Ayrton Senna, Roll it off your tongue, Ayrton Senna, Ayrton Senna, Hear it like a song. Ayrton Senna da Silva, A legend amongst men, Ayrton Senna da Silva, Do you remember when…..
He was wheel to wheel with Mansel, Down the pit straight in Spain, Sparks flying, tyres crying, Both on top of their game. Two gladiators with their steads, Neither would stop, phenomenal speeds, Millimetres between the two, What would happen? What would they do? They raced on oblivious Iconic images given to us; Senna didn’t win that one, But there were plenty others that he won. He fought through the field time and again, Always peerless in the rain. Left the rest slipping and sliding, Senna supreme, pushing and gliding. Prost stopped, afraid to race, Afraid of Ayrton Senna’s pace. Ayrton won countless in the wet, There’s no one else on whom you’d bet.
Dark and brooding, deep, intense, Articulate, made foes sound dense. Quiet of voice, he made his point, Put ‘know-all’ noses out of joint. Misunderstood by many, Loved by more, Ayrton Senna da Silva, Honest to the core.
Abused by Prost and Belestre, He never lost his dignity. He didn’t like the politics Or underhanded dirty tricks. When they acted with duplicity, T’was they that looked the fools not he. Embarrassed looks and shifty glances, Dirty actions, guilty stances. Senna turned and walked away, Retribution came another day.
Death came to Imola, That weekend in Spring, He’d been absent for years, Now his turn to sing. You could smell him in the paddock, Oppressive in the air, Rustling through the treetops, Shifting everywhere. He trifled first with Rubens, Senna’s friend and protege, That merely fed his hunger, He grew fat on lust that day. Next he came for Roland, Struck out at him with glee; Senna wept for a comrade, Wept in agony. Yet still the evil lingered, Broiling malice, pure spite. He had more to do at Imola, Was restless for the fight.
Professor Watkins felt it, Begged Senna, ‘Please stop! You don’t have to do this, You’re already top.’ But Senna, tears wet on face, Had to go, had to race. The dark descended, Start line crash; Death was in ecstasy, having a bash. But all was not done……… “ There’s going to be a fucking awful accident” Said Sid…..There was…… The world stopped for a second, Blood turned to ice, Death had taken the very best, No other would suffice. Ayrton Senna da Silva, Legend amongst men, Ayrton Senna da Sliva Never to race again.

BRILLIANT RC....Bloody brilliant...that got a lot of emotions going...
When I started reading through, first I had goose pimples...remembering the excitement of Ayrton's racing Then feeling incensed....remembering the injustice of the lying/cheating shit he encountered Then...on that eerie awful black week-end...such sadness...
The helicopter came... took his body away, we all knew he'd gone...before it took off.
