I'm impressed that Manor have even managed to get out of Administration.
We already know Stephen Fitzpatrick injected 30-40 million but we don't know who the other apparent investors are that have injected large amounts of cash, there are plenty of rumors of who it is.
The team apprently thinks it will be able to get within the 107% rule every time and is even planning to deliver a 2015 spec car with 2015 ferrari engines, even though for the first few races they'll be using 2014 cars with 2015 nose cone changes.
Manor today have completed their crash test and 4 hours ago have just sent their freight to Australia, we'll be seeing them race in Australia. Let's hope they meet the 107% rule and manage to finish the race, hell let's hope they get in the points!
It'll sure be interesting to know who their second driver will be.

I am supporting Manor this year as a 2nd team. You've got to love an underdog.
A lot of people say they don't deserve to be there, or there is no point to them. But IMO we need back markers, we need the lower teams.

But IMO we need back markers, we need the lower teams. We need more and more teams, keeps the sport varied and also brings more to the sport but that will only work if the top teams sort the financial side of it out. (Tapatalk calls you admin not LRW)

Talk about the little engine that could!
One curiosity though, they technically sold their 2015 design to Haas, so I wonder what's happening there? It's probably a selling as it's sold the right to copy the design, not the design itself?

But there is a link between Ferrari and Haas (tech colaboration), and a link between Ferrari and Manor (Engines) - so maybe there are deals being done??

I think Manor will get my signature support this year, when I finally get around to designing it. (I normally try to get it done by the 1st of march)

(I normally try to get it done by the 1st of march) They might be working on different design routes to Ferrari for the benefit of both Hass and Ferrari so that might be how they've managed to make the Australian Grand Prix. Hass/Ferrari can be sneaky using this year mainly practice as just a super long test.

Matthew Somerfield with some technical details on how they've managed to change the 2014 chasis to make it conform. Manor reckon they'll make the 107% but it's a big ask when you think how long they've had compared to the other teams. somersf1.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/manor-marussia-return-and-making.htmlPretty pictures aplenty, but atill tricky to understand.

It's seems Manor may yet not be racing in Melboure due to some computer glitch( PU?) . When their computers were taken they were wiped and they're struggling to get them reprogrammed. There's also speculation that Ferrari may not be rushing to help with the problem. this is is from the Judges site......
Manor F1 prevented from racing
John Booth and Graham Lowden have moved heaven and earth to get their team back on track following being placed in Administration just days after the 2014 Russian GP.
Despite Force India’s best efforts to stop Manor from making it back to the grid, the team have in record time – built two 2015 compliant cars, sent them and the associated equipment to Australia, assembled the cars in Melbourne and today passed scrutineering.
However, it may be plucky Manor will be thwarted from running their cars in Melbourne after all.
Rumours are circulating the paddock which suggest, the engine software is not working. As part of the proposed auction, computers were apparently wiped clean which contained the relevant software.
Manor have been working hard to rewrite the programs and enter the relevant data, but are reported to be still some way short of the mark.
What is not clear at present is Ferrari’s response. Maranello has agreed to supply Manor with 2014 engines, but possibly not with the appropriate management system programmes.
Whether Ferrari can get these easily to Manor or even whether the red team require further payment in return for replacing the missing code – at present, is unknown.

Shame to be thwarted by something so little. Surely someone would have a back up of last year's data

It took them four hours to get the brake/tail light working. That's the level of interoperability issues they're fighting against.

First we hear that they need a new set of engine mapping data, which makes sense when the whole front has been changed. Then we hear hints from the team that they need help from Ferrari here. Then we hear that all is well and it's just a matter of time to make the car work Sounds to me like Ferrari trying to squeeze some payment from the new investors, with Louden playing the pr game and winning The reason I say this is the excuse given initially. I mean who wouldn't plugin a 64 gig USB to save all the data in the world before wiping the hard drive?

I have never wanted a team to just score a point in a grand prix than I do for Manor this weekend.
