I can't believe we don't have a GP2 thread! The GP2 race on Sunday at Monza was brilliant. Lots of thrills and spills. I like Mitch Evans and he overtook and beat Vandoorne. He drove really well. What I didn't know is he'd had his front row grid place taken away on Friday because he fell foul of the rule about tyres that Mercedes were investigated for. He was a little irritated about the lack of consistency on Twitter today t say the least and asked the FIA to give him back his front row grid spot. And he's got a point. New rules rushed in again, reactive rules not well thought out. sort it out please FIA! On the point of Mitch and Russian Time, I tweeted to congratulate them yesterday. Said I was their lucky charm because they also won when I watched at Hokenheim, and they should follow me. Russian Time now follow me. My side of the deal is I have to ensure they keep winning.

It's not easy to watch them here either. I can't really follow it as Id like to. And there's a perfect way to get people hooked into F1, watching the exciting young drivers coming through, but no.

Hahaa Lando lost 2 tenths in S3 on his last flying lap and still got the pole by 0.62s, Russell needs to up his game.

I think Russell has a decent chance for the title as I feel hes the only one who has the pace to compete with Norris. He absolutely needs to bounce back in Baku. ART needs to resolve their clutch problem and be more accurate on the setting in order to reach the skating point to get off to a good start to prevent wheelspin and destroy these garbo Pirelli tires.

Russell in the lead everything under control, he tried to undercut Albon, Albon had a problem in the pit with the right rear tire so lost the lead >>
Albon is fast in qualy but the car race pace is not that strong.
Norris started from the pitlane.

Watching Albon in qualy been impressive so far. I do believe if he wants to have a real shot at the title he and his team will have to stop underperforming in races conditions. Even if its true that his car tends to be stronger in qualy and his team Dams isnt the best on the grid, you have driver like Norris who are not in a strong team too and makes a difference thanks to their talent and he is leading the championship because he is the most complete driver in F2 for me. Lets not forget Albon is in his second season, he has to do a lot better. Monaco is a must win for him.
ART Grand Prix is disapointing me a bit this season. What should have been a walk in the parks for Russell is getting a lot more complicated as we get through the season. I dont even see him making a pole or maybe in high speed track like Silverstone, Spa or Monza but whatever his race pace is a strong argument but they have to get it right everytime to be closer to the top to fight. Unfortunately Russell suffered from an engine failure today.Albon beats de Vries by 0.01s in Monaco for third straight F2 poleNorris gets grid penalty, Gunther excluded from Monaco F2 qualifying

Such a pity. There is no highlights of the qualifying on Formula One youtube channel, useless. FIA F2 website is so trash, unbelievable.
