Bit more news on this crash. It occured during the filming of a reality TV show and involved some top French sports people. I think a gold medalist swimmer and a top sailing woman.

For some reason until now I've shied away from clicking on the link. I guess I didn't want to know what you'd already confirmed. The US is weird when it comes to news. It's a bit of a "if it doesn't concern the US of A directly or our interests directly, it doesn't make the headlines" mentality. This wasn't even a blip on the radar until you shared it.

Not wanting to dwell on this sad topic. For anyone interested, In this link there is footage of the crash. It looks as though one helicopter veered into the other. It also looks very windy. In final destination style, one swimmer stepped off a helicopter before it took off to avoid overloading it. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-31819952

To be fair uk coverage of it has been slim. Most of the news this morning was on about Clarkson

Which shows how fucked up society is. Where a motoring journalist getting suspended is bigger news than some top level athletes losing their lives in a horrific accident.
