Koh Lipe ' s brilliant isn't it. Bet it was great for New Year.
Did you come across a small hotel restaurant and bar called 'the box' . That's where I stayed. It's on the Main Street.

Nope...you mean Walking Street? I don't recall Main Street...is that where immigration is? We stayed at Koh Lipe Inn....very nice, pretty much in the middle of Walking Street. The shitty thing was when we first reached the island, they put all Msians aside (since we don't need visas) and sorted everyone else out. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get chopped in!
And yep very lively! But one thing I didn't like though was everyone being spread around the island during NY, they had like 2-3 big parties. I was hoping it would be like Siem Reap, just 1 huge party run by a few big clubs on the street. Apart from that, beautiful island, went snorkeling. Great corals. And for the first time in my life I actually got sunburned. Couldn't sleep on my back for the first night!

Yes I probably mean walking street....the only street, I didn't know name, just the main one . Place I stayed was also about half way along it, so similar place. Brits don't need visas either for Thailand( up to a certain time limit) , but we did have to go and pay a fee to get on the island because it's a national Park . Waiting 2 hrs is a bit grim, must have been very busy. I only had one night there, I definitely want to go back.
Suntan lotion Hammer! You need suntan lotion! And aftersun preferably with aloe Vera in it.
