That really looks amazing RC! I thought you photoshopped yourself onto a postcard. Definitely an optional honeymoon spot if I ever get hitched.

It would be a perfect honeymoon spot Hammer! With the perfect soul mate person. It's a tiny island and when the ferry boats have gone back you'd be alone on that beach. ( it's quiet anyway) Watch the sun go down with a bottle of wine.

First night in Bangkok and it is immediately apparant that our hotel is in the middle of the sex area. It is the Nana hotel and across the road is the Nana Plazza which proudly proclaims to be ' The largest adult playground in the world.' Nikki is here too and much fun was had over a gin and tonic watching old guys with young Thai's ...EVERYWHERE. Dinner, of gorgeous food in a street cafe was followed by another drink in another bar where they had MotoGP quali on one screen and FP3 on another, and more girls working the tables than you could possibly believe! Entertainment all round! We thought we'd have one more drink before succumbing to sleep deprivation, so headed into Nana Plaza. We ordered cocktails and saw people going through a curtained area, so went through. There was a stage in the middle of the room about the size of a boxing ring., with pole dancing poles all round it and scantily clad girls in it. There were three tiers of seats all round it, and we got a front row seat! We watched the scantily clad girls gyrating to the music and when it ended they were replaced by two other girls who lay on their backs and shot darts out of their vaginas. They were attempting to burst balloons tied to the poles. One dart landed on me!! Well, that was the first night in Bangkok, I wonder what the second will bring?

I stayed at Sukhumvit Soi 11 for 5 years...do you know Ambassador hotel? Our condo was walking distance from there, Liberty Park II in case you came across it though unlikely. Nana is the fun place alright. Don't forget Siam Paragon and the Floating Market. Also for dishes, apart from the tomyam soup, check out the pad thai dish. On the streets, none of the restaurant crap. You need to taste the asian spice, not the watered down dishes for tourists. As for the scantily clad girls shooting stuff from their stuff....I witnessed that one and decided it was for the last time. Just made me feel odd and wasn't very satisfying. Oh my version was having to hold up a balloon over my head and she makes it explode. I was thankful she didn't miss. ENJOY!

Haha, yes, member of our party had to do the ballooon thing. Only in Bangkok for two nights so didn't have time to see much. Going back in April. Went to a market, and saw the sleeping Buddha. Had lots of Pad Thai, I like it a lot but prefer it a bit spiced up. On Ko Lanta now, beautiful island, stunning beach, will try to post some pics. Going to a remote island tomorrow on a trip . Was nailing it in the bar tonight with Nikki! Danced loads. It's a Bob Marley sort of bar, right up my street. It's called the ' Why not ' bar. And their saying written over the bar is. ....
Some people look at the world as it is and say why? We look at the world as it could be and say why not?
I think that's it ?

That's actually a bit of a common quote...I see it on t shirts!
Never even heard of that island, do post some pics. I'm headed to Koh Lipe for New Years, looking forward to it.

Ko Lanta is quite near Ko lipe I think. New year there should be brill! We go there by boat for one night when we leave here, then to lankawi for two nights on the way to Penang. Today we went to Ko rock, a very beautiful beach and there was snorkling, some amazing fish. Nikki sadly was suffering from the 'bar' . Trying not to vomit on the 45 minute trip over then sleeping under a tree on the island. Saw a massive lizard.

Couple of pics of Ko rock. In the second one you can see Nikki staggering along the beach looking for somewhere to collapse. I'll post some of Ko Lanta, the island where im staying later, haven't taken any yet.

This is the lizard. If you go to Pulau Perhentian in Malaysia, these guys are everywhere. There was one just outside the lobby area of the hotel we were staying at, we were pretty uncomfortable at first because they move so fast. And they're HUGE.

I was initially shocked by the komodo dragon but a vagina dart... that's one night in Bangkok indeed.

Hammer, I love these dragons but they are so big and a long back tongue flicks out. This one stirred while we were photographing it and the guy nearest nearly jumped out of his skin. Woukd they hurt you?

I don't think so unless its really threatened. Like if 2-3 people charged at it, it might charge back if it has nowhere to run. But they're actually very scared of you. That's what I learned back at the reception when checking in.

They have a poisonous bite BTW. Well, they kill their prey with a septic bite. They bite a buffalo or something large like that and then just track it for a few days while it slowly dies from the infection of the septic bite.

I fell down a step a couple of nights ago. Our villa is tall and to get to the bit where my room is you go outside down a couple of steps, then up a flight. I'd turned off the outside lights ( I was last going up) but the lights are tricky switches everywhere and you can't tell what they operate. So the lot went off. It was pitch black and I was going slow but I forgot about the two down steps. I grazed bottom of foot on the step, which was rough sort of concrete and my head whacked against a wall. Luckily my iPad in my hand was saved by my head getting the bang. Immediately a big lump came on my head, left temple near the eye. Next day it seemed to go down a bit but today eye is all purple, so is underneath of foot. Wasn't drunk!!

I was going to ask, thanks for the last line clarification. As long as the iPad is okay, you'll heal up, get some big sunglasses. Is this a holiday while on the say to see the Natny and little Natny?
