Drivers Presser live today at 2pm... as usual 6 drivers:- Felipe Nasr, Danil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz, Roberto Mehri, Fernando Alonso & Nico Rosberg... A question to Carlos Sainz...as the highest placed Spanish driver in the points...blah blah blah A question to Fernando...do you feel proud to have inspired that? A question to Nico R...how can you harness the spirit of 2014 into this year's championship, it's not just that LH became faster, it's you that became slower... NicoR replied... thank-you for your kind question...
I was thinkin...cheetah
The above may not be verbatim...but near enough...sooooooo funny...

It's not looking good....for anyone fighting for 3rd and below. Mercedes barely did anything in FP2 with lousier tyres and lousier timing and still look in command. If it's a hot day on Sunday and I were Ferrari, I'd be doing a split strategy for sure.

It was rather unusual, why did Ferrari swap out like 50% of their car... they didn't do part testing, how do they know the new parts are any better or worse.

No on really looked stable and consistent in practice today. I'll be curious what FP3 brings about before qualy but I expect more of the same, and the Mercedes pace on the hards was fast to say the least. I'm thinking a two stopper with M M H as the strategy we'll see for Mercedes. Ferrari has to split their strategy to try and catch one of the pair off.

Seems like Ferrari closed in just a bit, but with their pace yesterday, I am clueless on how close they actually are to the Mercs.

To be fair looking at the onboards Mercedes looked like they were pretty much cruising... Hamilton didn't go flat out and that was obvious because he needed to get some running in and will have taken a little knock because of that massive lockup after losing the backend on the grass. Williams were closer to Ferrari than previously so... yeah McLaren looked much much better, P11 in FP3 isn't shabby at all. I would not be surprised if they get a Q3 appearance today or at Monaco

Yeah, I hate not knowing >_< it's frustrating haha. Do you think McLaren will get into Q3 today? They were only 1 tenth away in FP3 and McLaren are probably running a very low engine setting... maybe they'll turn it up enough to get them that extra tenth or two. I just saw that Rosberg lost P2 in Bahrain due to the breaks failing, he might have been able to hold him off for the final two laps if they hadn't failed.

McLaren have overtaken Force India, they're into Q2 with BOTH drivers! Congratulations McLaren.
Mercedes... 1.2 seconds faster than Ferrari and 0.1 faster than Raikkonen who was on the medium tyre...

McLaren appear to have overtaken Sauber too, they're actually equal with Lotus based on best sector times added up.

Mercedes 0.5 and 0.7 faster than Ferrari, they've got no chance.
Well done Rosberg, good job. I wasn't all too surprised considering this is a track Hamilton isn't very good on, it's one of his worst statistically. This is the one track of the year where I actually expected Rosberg to get pole position.

WE'VE GOT A RACE BABY! I'm so excited. First, my condolences to Ferrari, 14 different parts thrown at the car this weekend and still seven tenths off the pace. It's got to be gutting. But Nico is more than making up for it, and way to go Toro Rosso boys, not a bad pair of drivers to have in your fantasy league. Speaking of fantasy... I'm going to head over to the pool thread. Easy picks this weekend.

Kinda glad Nico upped his game this time around, Lewis was having it a bit too easy so far...I want to see more 'hammertime' during pitstop windows and maybe some overtaking! Looks like Nico has found the sweetspot and Lewis hasn't....so the distance between these two cars at the chequered flag tmr will be interesting.
