Rosberg had nothing to do after the poor start Hamilton had which technically isn't even his fault as he told the team on his pre-laps that the start routine was having lots of wheel spin.
Mercedes were dominant again, they were comfortably faster than Ferrari when in clear air and they finished 27 seconds ahead (45 seconds ahead for Rosberg) which is nearly 2 free pitstops for Rosberg...
Ferrari appear to have dropped back both in Qualifying and in the Race and Williams appear to have made gains on Ferrari, it showed in the race with their straight line speed and aero, Kimi couldn't challenge at all.

As Lewis said, second on a bad weekend is great. Good drive by Sainz. Bottas keeping Williams in it
Alonso had a good start, kept his gains, matched the cars around him and was up to 7th when his car le him down.
Button did hi jumping out the way routine dropped effectively to the back (ahead of Manor) and stayed there the whole race despite matching the pace of guys way ahead of him in the second half. And then Jenson tells us;
he had no grip,
it was very strange
Something was wrong that needs to be investigated by the team
next year will see Van Doorne promoted and Jenson sending tweets for the BBC

I wish they wouldnt tell Lewis there's no chance to catch Rosberg, even if there is no chance to catch Rosberg!!

If only Lewis retained 2nd place at the start, I can't see Rosberg managing to beat him on pace. The guy was flying for 2/3rds of the race!

Crazy weekend, didn't see the GP until late so I was avoiding all contact. I have to say that I enjoyed the race. The reason I enjoyed it was because Lewis had to fight, he lost that race at least two or three times that I can recall. The start, the bad pit stop and then not staying out while he was leasing Rosberg. All events that could have swung the result but didn't. A hearty congratulations to Rosberg though, he was flawless all weekend long and was worthy of yesterday's victory, should spice things up plenty for Monaco! Ferrari.... 45 seconds behind the leader. That was enjoyable as it clearly showed where Mercedes is relevant to everyone else. Ferrari brought a baker's dozen of upgrades and clearly they didn't even make a dent. Enjoyable times in F1. I'm afraid of going to look at the pool results. I genuinely thought that Lewis had it in the bag, netting me at least the first four right, but alas Lewis' bag yesterday was full of holes indeed. McLaren was embarrassing, Toro Rosso showed their mother ship who's boss and Williams made a step forward. As I said, it was an enjoyable race.

To add to that little summary ^ Rosberg mentioned in the post race interview that Mercedes "focused on quality upgrades rather than quantity". I bet that might sting for a few.

And Merc are still on their first power unit, with only one extra component used - a harmless ECU

This race was a perfect showing of Mercedes' true pace and how Williams have gained.
Hamilton's fastest lap was 0.8 faster than Rosberg's who had the second fastest time, however Rosbergs fastest time was also 0.8 faster than 3rd places Raikkonen. Mercedes had a 1.6 second advantage and were about 0.8 faster on average all the way through.
Williams were next in 4th and 5th with 1:30.3 and 1:30.7, followed by Vettel on a 1:30.7.
