What general items do you use for something that wasn't the original intent but yet it works fabulously at. I mean old school, everyone used the 35mm roll of film containers as waterproof match enclosure, or to keep your pot. Nico uses women's panty liners to soak up his sweaty forehead in hot race conditions...
Curious to know what you guys and gals do? Maybe we can accumulate a bunch of useful ones.
I used hokey pucks on my jack to keep the underside of the car from being damaged and spread the load over a wider surface. I use a kitchen soft pad in my garage to save my knees and elbows when I'm laying under or besides the car doing work. I use an old sock filled with uncooked rice as a wrist rest for my mouse. I'm sure I can come up with more, but that should get you guys started.

I cut little trimmings of the fury stuff off a a huge palm tree thing in the garden to use as tinder to get some material burning for the fire bin (for when we cut all the trees) I use Bluetac to make my Qi Charger smaller and so my phone can sit on the charger nicely so I can see it I use magnets under the cabinets in the kitchen to hold knifes up (out of the way) I laughed so much at this one!

My phone cover has a little plastic stand on it. It fits ideally into air vents in cars so that it becomes a phone holder.
Should we be worried RyRy hides weapons around his house?
I keep all my pound coins in a large tictac packet. I extended the slot in the lid so the money goes in and out easily.
Plus just like everyone else I use my phone, as a torch, alarm clock, browsing the Internet etc. Sometimes I even make phone calls with it.

I use the mattress of a travel cot for working under/around cars.

My eyelids instead of a welding mask.
An upturned plant pot as a room heater in the kitchen.

What an innovative lot you are! WB, I was a bit worried when I read that you use hokey pucks on your Jack! Had no idea what hokey pucks are. Then I saw the word 'car' and I think I've worked it out now . okay I'll get my thinking cap on. Two obvious ones.... Old quilt covers- for dust/ decorating sheets. To cut up and make into draw string bags to keep spare quilts in or to keep ski helmets in. those little glass pots that individual desserts sometimes come in. I save these to reuse for my own desserts and also for putting used tea bags in. Oh and another one. When I used to do loads of hanging baskets ( it was a business) I grew lots of the plants myself. I had Greenhouses full of trays of plants. I used to cut up squeezey bottles into strips( long ways to stop them curling) and use them for plant labels. Actually you don't get those sort of squeezey bottles anymore, but magerine tubs would do.

I use my cat as a pickup line on dates to get girls back to my house.

I use my cat as a pickup line on dates to get girls back to my house. Is the pick up line, "want me to show you my pussy?"

Maybe we need a pick up line thread.
I used a sock and a condom as a waterbottle once.

When I was a kid, I made a lot of my toys out of household products. One of the advantages of growing up in a third world country. Creativity.
1)Match stick guns out of clothes pins. 2)dueling spinner out of a bottle cap and string from old tires 3)Kites from reeds and tracing paper
