DC said something like "the Mclaren won't go any faster getting a piggy back on the Ferrari", or something like that, Made me laugh and therefore the only highlight in what was a terrible F1 grand prix.
Also well done to Nico, He is the only hope of making this season worth watching, Go Nico!

I don't think it was a bad race tbh. There were loads of action going on and it was pretty good. Better than most races this year. That is me though...It was full of drama nonetheless

I like Ashley Plumptons reply! I agree. It is true though, did his parents give him stupid pills? By his logic, Massa > Vettel

Yep, credit to Nico today. This one was on merit. Dead pleased for Massa too, even though it further screwed up my pool results!!! Yeah. Great drive by him today, Hamilton had a good and clever attempt to get the jump while Rosberg pitted but Rosberg saved yourself by throwing in a fast lap. Ultimately he was faster all weekend, track obviously suits him more than Hamilton. Good solid race by him. However Hamilton was faster overall in the race based on time made up which is also interesting.

Can't say, Rosberg was going nuts over some vibration issue and lost about 3 seconds in two laps just near the end...nursing the car home I guess.

Good drive by Nico, well done. It's not often that we see him get a resounding win against Hamilton but today was it. Hasn't driven this authoritatively since Brazil last year. Exactemento! That completely confirms what Lauda, Berger and myself have said about drivers like Nico - They have the ability to turn out a top performance, alas the frequency of said performance is directly correlated to circumstances being 100% favorable. For Nico its approximately twice a season, for drivers like Button its every other season, however for drivers like Lewis its 9 times out of ten races Which is why he gets paid the big bucks

Many memorable moments to be had throughout, apart from the much sought after race-long battle for the lead... One of the better races this year I'd say, and certainly much better than the unexpected borefest in Montreal.

www1.skysports.com/f1/grandprix/austria/live-blogIn other news away from the rain-drenched 'Ring, Lewis Hamilton, who isn't in testing action here, has been speaking about the so-called momentum team-mate Nico Rosberg has built up by winning three of the last four races. Although he doesn't say it implicitly, it's clear Hamilton isn't actually counting the controversial Monaco GP as a place where he has been beaten by his team-mate. After all, it was a weekend the title leader absolutely dominated before Mercedes blundered with their tactics: "When you think about the places where points have been lost, it has been a pretty good year so far. He (Rosberg) has done Barcelona and here, two out of eight isn't too bad really. I'm happy with that. "All I can think is that this year I'm stronger. It looks like we are kind of in a similar position but I feel stronger, getting better results, more consistent. "Hopefully it sits well for the rest of the season if I perform as well if not better than I did last year for the rest of the season.Monaco, I performed better that weekend and generally I have only had a couple where I have not been the strongest, it has been the other way round. "When you say it has been balance and he (Rosberg) has been stronger, when you look at it seven poles out of eight is pretty decent and perhaps without Monaco, it wouldn't be as close as it is now - he has had just two strong weekends."

And he's absolutely right. Two strong weekends . And one of those Lewis had dodgy pitstops and a dodgy clutch. It's odd how people look at those statistics and say Rosberg is dominating, or is strong, or is challenging. It's very odd indeed. Do they only look at the races that fit the outcome that want?

It's not really odd... it's actually normal. The same people that wouldn't mention Lewis' dominance when he was mopping the floor with Nico for the first four races. Or the same people that questioned his mental fortitude last year because Nico was nipping him in Qualifying but there's no mention of Nico's capacity issues this year when he's struggling in Qualifying.
It's just the way people are. I'll continue to celebrate the steady rise up the F1 all time leader chart. it's a joy to experience.

Its excellent for F1 status quo remaining the way it is for the next 3 years. Already those moaning about Lewis walking a boring season are suddenly admitting to finding it interesting after all and cant wait to see how the battle pans out.
Of course they will be the same ones at the end of the year saying they didnt watch because the outcome was set from race one, and that there was no battle, but at least we dont have to put up with their bitching for a while, just like we havent heard much from the bitches rgarding the unfair freeze holding Ferrari back as it can be pointed out that they have spent an extra 100 mill and indeed caught up, only to have their lame drivers try to mount other cars as a result of misunderstanding the concept of overtaking - and Kimi even messed up the mounting bit

Ok so Merc confirm that Lewis' start in Austria was, like the other one entirely down to the equipment. They have released data that shows both had the same acceleration of the start, so Nico could have never gained a spot if it wasnt for Lewis having to launch later

The entirety of the clutch changes this year have been to help Nico's issues from last year. Lewis has not been happy since the beginning of the year with the new clutch.

I wonder how Seb/Alonso would have coped if RBR/Ferrari had actually gone out of their way to help Webber/Massa compete instead of actively hamper them.
I have a feeling this will be remembered in posterity when discussing this era. Its only now that it doesnt make a good story when bitching about competition etc.

Why can't they leave Lewis with last years clutch if this one doesn't work?
