Looks to be a nice race tomorrow behind Lewis. Hopefully Mercedes' reliability will continue the metrodome like pace they've seen. Third step of the podium will be tough to pick. Even the second step on the podium is not a sure thing given the pace some cars had in FP2.

Nico got beasted by Lewis, we could be looking at a Monaco style tonking in the race. Chances are Nico should focus more on Ricc behind who will have a chance at the second pitstop with his fresher tyres. Dont know what happened to Kyviat but Ricc is very good with oversteery go kart style tracks, we should see a good fight with Seb. Ricc has a chance to show his skills to the TPs as the Ferrari is 2nd fastest car here. As far as Alonso, what was he doing risking a major incident when he could have just left the car and gone for an ice cream, instead of trying to push it uphill lol Actually speaking of Alonso, what a perfect act of Karma it would be if he ends his career at McLaren and never wins another race - because we could argue that Spygate and Alonsos action led directly to Merc splitting from McLaren, which has led to Honda needing Alonso to power the car himself. It could be that Alonso has returned to McLaren to reap what he sowed

If you're going to argue that, then you could argue that Mclaren has reaped what they sewed with the point proving with Hamilton in 2012. Which also led to the Merc split, the Honda announcement and a clear loss of a WDC for Lewis/Mclaren. But hey, they proved their point. Give the fast set up to Button in Spa just to show Lewis that the team can make a difference in the outcome.
So McLaren now are begging for sponsors, have had their worst year/s since EVER, and are dealing with the BAR Honda of the 2000s instead of the McLaren Honda of the 1980s.
As Ron and Martin said reading some of the comments post the 2012 split, they were sure they made the best decision for McLaren.

It was like a bonfire of the vanities, Ron, Alonso, Twitmarsh, Honda, Button, Mansour, the Bharainis all got what they probably deserve, with one man rising like a phoenix from the ashes
and still he rises lol

Incredible that Williams with the same engine is over a second slower than the works team. Of course since its Hungary, we'd give them a few tenths due to the Lewis factor. But still, a 0.8s advantage, that car is monstrous. The Germans have indeed arrived and put the Italians soundly to sleep.

All the Tifosi and Vettelosi were partying hard after their win earlier in the season. Some even came out of the hibernation they'd been in for an entire year, thinking that perhaps Vettel would do with a mediocre car what the greats could. Alas it seems not to be the case and everyone has returned back into the woodwork.

I noticed that with the Tifosi how they all started posting everywhere and then slowly left.
On IRC the Ferrari fans were silent all race for Silverstone up until when Vettel lucked in with the rain in comparison to Williams. They were silent on Friday, made a bit of noise in practice 3 and were fairly quiet in qualifying, it would have been silent if Ricciardo had got 3rd

I think 2nd, 3rd and 4 th could be closely fought. Not sure how to call it just yet. I suspect Rosberg will hold on to second, he seemed to get over his earlier issues in quali, but he didn't look so good on the harder tyre.

Apparently thunderstorms overnight and cooler temperatures with a green track tomorrow because of the overnight rains.

The last weekend that everything went "right" for Lewis was Monaco. It's weekends like these that make me a little uncomfortable.

Thats the lot of a Lewis supporter, or actually the supporter of any English tennis player, boxer, national football penalty taker, cricket goes without saying ofcourse, but if theres anyway to snatch disaster out of thin air, its never too far away. At least he didnt set his car on fire this time round

But even if Lewis would pit in for this race, he'd be able to overtake better since Monaco's overtaking is like trying to fill in a colouring book without going out the lines. Though Hungary is no better, it opens more opportunity than Monaco would.
