This post by Ang has inspired this thread. A place to define the spin put on the same news by different outlets according to their placemnt on the political axis Well Lewis made a stand with the crap trophies...& made a difference... Hopefully the silly fools at Wimbledon will see that they have made a blunder...Lewis is one of the top sportsmen in the world...imo THE BESTBut as has been said...it'll give the hacks summat to write about, between now & Hungary. Last week a female tennis player was in bother, for wearing a black bra under her white stuff... Last year the best player of his generation by far, the king of Wimbledon was refused entry to his own match for wearing the wrong trainers. He changed them after protesting that the rules were too restrictive but dont expect any of our bright 'investigative' journalists to remember that, or to remember how it was 'cool' thing he did, when it comes to reporting news according to their agendas from left to right Its funny seeing the different spins they come up with - Lets start with our dependable friends in Scotland - that bastion of monarchist pomp and etiquette, who can always be counted upon to have strong views about English drivers called Lewis. The Daily record declared that Lewis had a 'hissy fit' at the match - although they then went on to say that he stayed for most of the match in the ante room. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/lewis-hamilton-throws-hissy-fit-6054820? I wonder what their agenda is? more to come

Three week gap in the middle of the season and it's not August. I think there's going to be a lot of "this" for some time to come.

Brundle! Impressive! Perhaps he's on the mend! More likely Brundle is saying what he knows Bernie would like to hear. The place has a right to cling to inbred and out of date traditions - nothing wrong there, thats what we sell to tourists along with the changing of the guard. And Lewis has a right to try his luck and decline, he even has a right to think that as F1 champ, they would rush to make an exception for him. Well they didnt, he didnt change - no problem with any of that The problem is the way the media report it, the angle the take and the agenda - which is not in the interests of Bernie, so Brundle knows the right cheeks to kiss it seems When Federer was ordered to go change his trainers last year the reporting was solely about how stiff the rules were etc. The whole concept of the royal box is an affront to any modern society, just as well most of us are monarchists and not republicans in this country - and thats because the monarchy have not taken the piss too much as things evolve. Even (some) tax is been paid. Just as well its not France or somewhere that they really love been lorded over by heriditary rulers lol
