I've never really put much thought into it - but it can only be a good thing that there is a third solution.
Only a week to go, to see if it's any good.

It's a hybrid solution really. More efficient than the Renault/Ferrari route, and easier simpler to implement/support than the Mercedes route.
I'm liking the fact that the new regulations have given us thee distinct solutions to the same regulation.

It amazes me that the spindle of the Merc turbo survives and is balanced.

It amazes me that the spindle of the Merc turbo survives and is balanced. Not just that, from what I understand it's a spindle within a spindle!

Can't help feeling the McHonda might spring some kind of surprise. Either a "f*ck we can't even get 10 straight laps in" or Merc going "holy sh!t".

According to some posts on other sites the Honda setup is similar to how Ferrari had their Engine last year but now Ferrari have switched to the Renault way.
The reason Renault and Ferrari haven't switched to the Mercedes way is because it's really hard to implement and they don't have enough tokens to make the changes

I hope Honda are not trying to be the first Japanese company ever to come up with its own solution when it could have copied the proven brand leader

Sometimes you have to innovate to be better. Just sometimes it does not pay off
