So I am not sure if any of you guys have noticed something from F1's official Twitter but they have decided to open this kind of fun experience for drivers and fans to select their dream team. This would consist on three factors. Drivers (2 only): Car: Team Boss: This can be used from drivers, cars and bosses past or present. For shits and giggles, I figure this would be Sauber's dream team i.imgur.com/DfJjwrP.png

Yep. That would be my choice too.
If I couldn't have the Merc car I may settle for the JPS lotus......but I'd want the Merc.

I had to think about who I would want as team boss. I know a lot of people are saying Brawn or Chapman.
Which made me think how much Colin Chapman would cope being a modern Corporate Boss of an F1 Team. Where as people like Colin Chapman/Bruce Mclaren etc where really good engineers as well which it made them the team boss they where. Where as newer team bosses are more like company CEO'S Think Flavio.
I suppose it is like asking which Captain do you like best Kirk or Picard.
On reflection I think Ross' engineering skill is better than Chapman's company leadership skills (think Delorean)
Best Car for me Lotus 25 every day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Just because of its engineering beauty.
As for drivers I would go for Senna and Clark so we could finally see who really was the best.

Kirk was always at the front of what was going on, leading by example
Picard was always in charge of what was going on and looking at the bigger picture

It would be your dream team of today. In the new age of F1, if you selected an old timer they might be rubbish at managing a team of this day and age. Last time it was more of a 'buddy buddy lets go racing' kinda sport, today it's a whole other matter with sponsors and MNCs involved with politicking bureaucrats involved. Someone who understands the business is probably much better than someone who's a great engineer. Which is why people like Flavio can thrive and build a trophy winning team. And also what makes Brawn pretty special (to me), he's an engineer but he knew how to start foundations for his teams to dominate.

Lewis Lauda Lotus 25 Me as the owner. With Ross Brawn as the TP.
I'm with you Jabs, the revolutionary aspect of that car was something that changed the entire philosophy of sports cars going forward.
