Here we go, Merc are set to be dq'ed and ferrari inherit the win at Monza I bet the penalty which should be 25 seconds will suddenly be more than 25 seconds Well done Ferrari! It was one tyre, they might get away with that because it won't help, if it was all tyres then yes it would give a small performance boost but not 25 seconds. They could claim they were above pressure at the start after the warm-up lap They could potentially get a 20 or 25 second penalty, if they get the latter then he wins by less than 0.001 The rule was brought in for safety, if they were under why did they let an "unsafe" car race? Vettel AND Hamilton might have slipped under pressure limit, Vettel during the race where he kept doing 2 fast laps and 1 slow lap throughout the race except for the last 5 laps and Hamilton because he didn't need to push.

Scumbag F1, nothing new here, at least Lewis was actually standing on the top step of the podium like he was at Spa.
Ferrari can now pretend they won the race fair and square because 0.3 psi made the difference of 0.5 sec a lap. What a noble team, at least we dont get to see Sebs finger

What a noble team, at least we dont get to see Sebs finger Williams actually by accident stood up for Mercedes by saying that 0.3 won't give any performance boost because it will upset balance, because it's on only 1 tire. If it was all 4 then it would have been a small performance boost but only about 1-2 second over the whole race

Whatever happens Seb will 'win' the race, if its a time penalty then it will be 30 seconds, and a new reg applied that says the time penalty for drive through can be increased above the 25 that a pit stop is deemed to cost

Honestly, at this point I'd be supporting of them doing that if they're going to penalize Lewis at all. Might as well make it obvious since we'll be hearing from the tiffuzy about this glorious Vettel victory at Monza for decades to come.

Bottas got 25 sec penalty for a clear tyre tech infringment last race, yet we have that old cheat Pat Simmons arguing that Merc should be Dqed no questions asked if it was a tech infringment
Twat seems to have forgotten who supplies the engines that single handedly moved his team from the back of the gri to the front

They could also have an acceptable range for tyres because pressure can change so easily. FIA and Pirelli clearly thought they were safe to race... Otherwise they would have black flagged them our made then pit on warm up lap, or let them fix pressure on warm up lap because they can hear their tyres up. Also, if they finished with positive pressure then they could claim that they were safe in the race.

Why the fuck were they only notified after an hour into the race, when the problem was found before the race began?
This whole thing stinks. And what about that pressure gauge they're using, maybe that thing is faulty. This is ONE TYRE, and they're making a scene of it. And d!ckwall Symonds shouldn't even be outside a prison cell and he has the balls to suggest DSQ.

Btw did anyone see Flavio and the Fonz give each other a tight hug on the grid before the race? Classic moment of two tyrants catching up.

Vettel pretty much admitted that nothing should be changed, he didn't say it but he doesn't think anything should change, Hamilton was just too fast.

Should I feel guilty that the only reason I'm looking forward to finally getting an official result now is so I can feel at ease with the pool standings? Anyway, a commentary on the situation... Should the win be stripped, this problem wouldn't be a Pirelli problem, it would be the race steward and whomever greased their palm if a .3 PSI low pressure on one tire is deemed dangerous and unsafe yet it's allowed to be raced on. They can issue from 5 to 30 seconds worth of penalties or a DSQ. Patiently awaiting the results. They'll speak volumes!

James Allen @jamesallenonf1 1m1 minute ago So @lewishamilton and @mercedesamgf1 NOT disqualified for low tyre pressure. OK when fitted to the car. Temps were down when measured

Now that we got that settled, could someone do the math as to the earliest Lewis could wrap up his 3rd, so Mercedes can finally set that engine loose and lap the entire field in the last 2-3 races?

They were AT the right pressure when connected to the car, they had also been outside of the warmers longer than other teams.
They will have also taken into account:
* It's a negligible amount. * It was only 1 tyre * They were safe to race. * They could have got tyres up to pressure on warm-up lap and in the race * Their pressure post race must have been positive * They were checked by Pirelli and FIA at the grid and they were told they were fine.
