So... I have a question/advice from probably for RC & Ang to answer but if you guys know too then please feel free to answer. I'm looking to get 2 or 4 new pillows, obviously I don't want to pay stupid money for luxury ones, goose feathers, down pillows... etc so just some cheapish ones, I guess the best ones for me would be some "Silentnight" pillows so whats best out of the following... Ultrabounce Hollowfibre Pillows (4 for £10) Hollowfibre Pillow (2 for £10) Deep Sleep Pillow (2 for £12) Just Like Down Microfibre Pillow (2 for £15) Egyptian Cotton Pillow Pair (2 for £16) Superspring Pillow (2 for £17) Cotton Pillow (6 for £26) I can't find a description of the difference between them at all... so any of you got one of the above and like it? I like a soft pillow, quite thick... Just like someone posted before, this is mumsnet now

Pillows, like mattresses... you just have to try them. Hopefully know what you like. I love pillow talk.

IKEA do quite a good range of pillows at reasonable prices and they usually have samples of them unpacked on display so you can try them ....put your head on them, feel them etc Also ive had very reasonable feather pillows from Tesco two for under £10 But they don't always do them. When they're on offer.
I'm REALLY fussy with pillows and have just replaced a feathe/ down one because the old one was so old it had gone to practically nothing. But that was expensive. What I usually do is have one normal pillow, doesn't really matter what sort, average size, then the down/ feather one on top. Pillows have to be just the right height. And it depends how you sleep ( back, front or side) This determines how big your pillow should be. In IKEA they sell pillows according to how you sleep. So II might be worth having a look there. If you're going for non feather/ down just go for one you like the feel of. I don't like the memory foam ones. I got some free with matresses and they're really big and hard. Hope that was some use.

Does anyone have a memory foam mattress? It's time to replace mine and frankly memory foam was non existant when this was purchased but now it's the premium route apparently.

There's a big difference between good memory foam and cheap memory foam

I personally find memory foam too hard, I switched from memory foam to an old school spring mattress, super soft, squishy and comfortable

I need firm, actually more than firm. Slept most of my life on a futon and those can stop a bullet they're so dense.
