If McLaren was running the engine at 60% or without ERS and Alonso knows this then he wouldnt be too upset. Id like to think there was a big power deficit that can be turned up as soon as .....
But then what else would the team say? They coulnt say they had to find 6 seconds by developing 3 more updates this year. Ron looked pretty shaken but still defiant, and seemed only worried by the bashing he was gonna get from the brit media
Interesting times, I hope they can pull it out by the end of the season to give Alonso a chance to spank Seb

They were running the engine power down, what shocked me was when I heard Jenson say the longest run they'd done was 12 Laps. ( Googley eyed horrified smilie) no wonder they had the engines turned down. But I feel for Ron and for Alonso. Alonso ALWAYS seems to make the wrong decision regarding teams...but then he also always seems to piss off his team.

Well, well, well...what are we to make of this revelation...Alonso emphatically stating there was a steering lock problem that caused the crash? This is at complete odds of the team's take and even Jenson was very quick to side with the team that he knows of no steering lock issues. IS THIS IT? Is this where the ruckus begins...em...resumes with Alonso vs McLaren? I sincerely thought the honeymoon would last until the first quarter of the season but it appears I was too optimistic. Oh boy, where can this go from here? Team enforced censorship? The team finally admits the car HAD a steering problem? The back and forth between parties in the media until someone taps out? Messy business, this.
...but such fun!

Ron Dennis is still insisting there was nothing wrong with the steering. That the many many sensors on the car confirm this. Alonso is disagreeing and saying the steering was wrong. Already open disagreement between Dennis and Alonso. However you cut it, that accident was a weird one.

The most fake happy marriage in F1 started to crumble in winter testing. Lol
