Hahah. That's a way to get your count up, but maybe not the followers you want. I'll retweet your things if I see them ( sometimes I forget your twitter name ) I have a few financials/ economics following me, more political types. So it's worth a shot. Who exactly are you hoping to attract? Financial types? Or people wanting to know about finance? Or just good fun people?

Today was especially an annoying day when I opened twitter, my count went from 80 to 77.

what difference can an extra zero make?

Oh yes. Lol. I can never remember how many zeros. You see it's four digits for 1000 but only three zeros. There in lies the confusion! And my IPad frequently overrides me anyway. I think that's what happened, it was the IPad.

I think I'm starting to get how to attract more followers...more hashtags, and follow more people!
Twitter language is like learning another language though.

:yikes:Do you think so! My natural inclination is to answer. My learned response is to ignore. Not sure what that says about me. Lol
Eeks ! So you think it's a bad thing? I wondered if someone was trying to sneak a virus onto my IPad . But maybe it's even worse than that?

I wondered if someone was trying to sneak a virus onto my IPad . But maybe it's even worse than that? My learned response would be to block them and ignore. It's quite a common internet scam, usually Twitter detects those messages and the account gets banned after 48~ hours. However the scam works, some people talk back and then a sob story or something is said and the person messes up by sending them money or giving them certain details. Just the same as these scammy phone calls that people get, they will get like 200 calls where the person knows it's a scam and then they'll eventually find someone who doesn't know and manage to scam £200 out of them, sometimes more. Remember that in some parts of India and other countries £200 is roughly a month's worth of pay so they only need to land one a month to be profitable.

That's very common as Ryry says....except I receive that on email quite a bit. And they're normally from some part of Africa or the UK! And the number is almost always a UK number.
It's just a waste of time RC....you're wasting precious seconds of your day even thinking about it.

You should respond. Tag him along, make him think he is being successful.
