I'm looking forward to it. Atleast 2 teams, 4 drivers in with a serious crack at championship glory i think. I personally see next year being super competitive, we've had Renault and to an extent McLaren focusing on 2017 all season so they'll jump up in how competitive they are. As long as no team comes out with an insane package (Renault, Red Bull or Mercedes) I can see it being a close battle between McLaren, Renault, Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes. I'd like to see Force India and Williams stay with the pack but I don't think they will. It's going to be Mercedes VS Redbull for the Championships. Ferrari will be battling McLaren and Force India for 3rd. Williams will get a surprise podium somewhere. YOU READ IT HERE FIRST.

Renault could be the year's biggest surprise. I'm with RyRy on that. But I wouldn't bet against a year long slugfest between Red Bull and Mercedes for the championship.

Just imagine this one..... Alonso gets the Merc drive, He dumps McLaren. Merc aren't the class of the field, the whole field is closer and McLaren are right up there. Lewis manages to win the title ...Just. Because the Bulls are taking points of each other and McLaren have no top line driver. Next year Lewis moves to McLaren and storms the championship,

Next year Lewis moves to McLaren and storms the championship, I wouldnt mind seeing alonso there but i just think hes a little long in the tooth. If merc's still the car to beat then the driver i really would like to see there is Vettel, they'd both have a lot to prove against each other, not quite sure how merc would handle that but itd be great to see them splitting the garage and not sharing data. Sorry RC, androids rubbish text editing mangled the quote.

That's precisely why I'd like the Fonz coming into Mercedes, so he can get his ass beat and then retire happily with many memories full of regrets.

Gotta disagree, taking anything from Lewis beating an aging Alonso is like Rosberg getting all big headed about beating an aging/returning Schumacher.

Oh no I'm not taking anything from Lewis on this, its all about Alonso and the way he goes out.

Magny Cours is back! For 2018 that is. I like Magny Cours...one of my all time favourite races till today happened there, France 2000. Good times. I think France 2018 is going to Paul Ricard, not Magny Cours

I thought we'd have at least 1 classic (gravel and sand) style track back in the calendar.

Gravel & sand will all be replaced soon enough... it's not "safe" if there is a 0.0000000000001% chance of the car digging in and rolling over.

Max Verstappen to win 5+ races in 2017 8/11 Fernando Alonso to win a race in 2017 5/6
Daniel Ricciardo to win 5+ races in 2017 7/4 Lewis Hamilton to win 10+ races in 2017 3/1
Jolyon Palmer to win a race in 2017 5/1 Max Verstappen to win 10+ races in 2017 9/1
Lewis Hamilton not to win a race in 2017 33/1 Lewis Hamilton to win every race in 2017 500/1
I'd think about a few of these bets if I could bet... But interesting that Alonso to win a race is almost even odds. It would be nice to see a third team up there to mix it with the Bull and the Arrows.

Where did you get these odds - I'd be tempted to chuck £50 on the Lewis not winning a race one...

You'd be better off chucking it on him to win every race. Better odds and more likely.
