Can't tell because it would be either 8pm or 9PM for me but I'm streaming it. Recording FP2 to watch in all its glory tomorrow for breakfast.
... can't believe it, we're actually here!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys & Girls.... start your engines!
Good news! Alonso went all the way round the track without a failure!

Really dislike the new timing display, hope this is just a trial thing. Although the individual intra sector breakout is nice I need to see the driver list and times column on the left as they've always had.

Those T-wings shake about heaps under load and thru corners, especially the Haas, you would think it will snap off with that amount of movement.

The Haas one looked right down shoddy. Like they went to a discount carbon fiber shop.
Given the times, the race lap record is going down, certainly.

Yeah those mini sector breakout are cool, I would assume the times column will come up with 30 mins to go perhaps.

Let's just go back to my handy list of times....
Ok, half way through FP1 and the fastest time would have been P1 in Q1 last year.......
*EDIT* Ok They are now posting times that are good enough for top 4 on the grid in 2016.
I think it's safe to say, mission accomplished!

It looks like Lewis has put the smackdown already, Mercedes comfortable at least in P1 and a huge 6 tenths separating Lewis & Bottas, will be interesting how this goes for P2 and P3

As already mention, Hopefully FOM get their act together and get the times column back on the left on screen. That was missed greatly.

Also that Haas T-wing has to go, surely there is no benefit with that thing waving around like that.

As already mention, Hopefully FOM get their act together and get the times column back on the left on screen. That was missed greatly. F1 App on your phone/tablet or use the FOM feed on their website: www.formula1.com/en/f1-live.html <-- Good enough but doesn't have sector times www.sofascore.com/formula-1 <-- Decent, a little slow sometimes. f1.tfeed.net/live <-- Decent, just you have to register/authorise a social account. www.autosport.com/live/commentary/id/2533217/australian-gp-friday-practice <-- Good enough for no account. Also that Haas T-wing has to go, surely there is no benefit with that thing waving around like that. It's only a few of the cars but yeah it will help a little into corners but coming out of them or mid-corner it won't be helping. They'll fix that by strengthening them I'm sure. The Hass one is terrible, the entire shark fin/sail and t-wing is all over the place.

Could explain a bit perhaps, don't really associate twitchyness with Red Bull cars, they are generally so planted and as to why the video gave me a shock watching it. But looks Red Bull have brought a wave of updates to Melbourne as planned, boxes of parts were carried by RB staff into the circuit before FP1 to bolt on to the car.

Dare I say it, Bottas already looking like an easier teammate for Lewis to deal with than Rosberg.

Dare I say it, Bottas already looking like an easier teammate for Lewis to deal with than Rosberg. I expected the difference of maybe 2 tenths for the first few races of the season, but I didn't expect half a second! He'll slowly improve and get closer.
