Seriously? This is just downright embarrassing. What's the point in continuing when your team threatened to leave if they didn't get a better engine for 2016 and what they settled on was the same engine with a Tag Heuer sticker on it. I mean seriously how about we talk about the fact that the real unwillingness is from Red Bull no wanting to bite the bullet and help their engine partner that handed them 8 championships in 4 years now build and develop a better engine even if it means not winning a race for two years. I don't hear McLaren or Williams complaining. And Ferrari has shown that the engine can be developed under the massively relaxed regulations. Frontrunner sorry man, I feel for Ricciardo and Kyviat but this team has just soiled their reputation beyond any validation. It's funny, even the Tifosi are bad mouthing Red Bull, I mean sticking with your works team engine builder and working together to overcome the initial limitation just like Ferrari did apparently was not an option for Red Bull because, well Because they're being unfairly treated. The Donal Trump of F1.

Hahaha, talk about desperation. Lets go back to the 50 years ago when a driver could crash his car and take his teammates instead. Yup everything changed when RBR became losers lol And I dont recall the Cosworth engine being developed in a competition amongst all the manufacturers with agreed rules and 4 years advance notice
This is the clearest sign that this team can only win when Bernie has made a deal with them and things are allowed to flex. When it comes to the F1 competition McLaren have achieved lots of success over decades, RBR just cant compete. They cant make the deals for engines, they cant do what Rn did with Tag, they couldnt even manage to get an engine at all till Renault agreed to bend them over.
One trick ponies
Yup we could all clearly see the flexing of the front wings and see the engine maps as the blown rear diffuser sailed round the corner with something sounding like traction control
Without Newey they are gonna be embarassing themselves for the next few years

Timing is everything in the F1. Unfortunately just bad timing for Ricciardo to be a Red Bull driver now days. Not too long ago every driver on the grid would've wanted to be a RB driver, how times change.
Watching the 2016 season, do I seriously even bother?? Maybe I should just wait for 2017 or 2018 season till Dan gets another drive somewhere else.

Dan needs to punch above his weight in the equipment hes got and prevent Max, Carlos and Kyviat jumping ahead of him when a top set with a proper top team opens up. He needs to convincingly beat Kyviat this year to avoid a Hulkenberg style slide to mediocrity.
That should be worth watching. Also after Webbers lameness, Danny Ric is carrying the flag

Wouldn't it be grand if Ricciardo would move over to Ferrari next year?

Seriously? Are these people never happy?? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/35520719So basically - opening it up to everyone isnt enough - they should ALSO be restricting Mercedes from developing more...? Im sorry, I thought this was a competition....?

Perhaps it's Newey's way of saying "au revoir" to dignity.

Yeah but Aston Martin can't afford a full team, but they do have some expertise that may help Red Bull. Good move by Red Bull & Aston Martin

Red Bull are so full of marketing shit its not funny. Like they are gonna build a road legal car (with doors and bumpers and stuff) that can accelerate and decelerate and corner better than an F1 car.
The power to weight ratio for an F1 car that weighs very little means this hypercar will need about 2000 bhp and will need to be able to put the power on the road with street legal tyres. The Veyron develops more than 1000bhp and can hardly accelerate half as quickly as an F1 car and cost VW much more than the million they sold each one for.
This is purest bullshit from Aston Martin trying to get their sponsorship money worth after drinking cans of red piss.
